I saw Marathon installing it last winter when I was down there. They quoted me $1,600 turn key. I have thought about doing it since then. I’d love to hear some feedback as well.

Since Volvo owns Prevost they apparently are pulling strings. Guys in suits that make decisions wrongly assume since a bus is big it must be like a truck therefore a truck dealer is qualified.
As owners we end up learning things the hard way. Often it is best to contact other coach owners for advice regarding service in areas near where they live. It is not a bad idea to post questions on the forum, call others for advice, or pull up the service manual on the internet and make sure the service provider is willing to at least review it.

Haven’t all of Tom’s coach had the same name?

Ray,
Just as Tom says, I go to each one and bump against each top corner with my shoulder to make sure the latch “clicks” all the way closed, If it doesn’t click, the locks may be out of adjustment, causing it not to latch closed all the way.
I’ve owned 3 H’s, and never had a leak by using this method. The striker is the part that may be out of adjustment.

There is an oil fill plug just above and off to the side (slightly ) of the sight glass. The Link below shows it.
Both Prevost and Carrier have excellent instructions of their respective manuals for the AC system and would be far better than anything I could write. I suspect you are OK with respect to oil level, but it should be 1/2 way up the sight glass. Too much overfull is not good. Oil level is checked with the unit not operating.

Jimmy,
Thanks for posting on the map, that’s what we really need, everyone to contribute to updating the map, it’s going to be one of the best tools we have as we get it populated.

Probally goes to the refridgerator, perhaps a prior bad experiance.

Jonathon,
You do not need the aux compressor while driving. The engine driven compressor likely puts out greater pressure so the aux compressor probably isn’t doing anything.
Keep in mind that you should have a check valve of some type to keep aux air leaking back through the compressor to atmosphere, but also between the aux system and the braking system. From the post I suspect you have never checked, or had someone check to verify the operation of the air system check and protection valves between tanks. This should be done routinely by someone who knows what they are looking for.

In this case, everyone was right. Tire balance was fine and so was the inflation. The tire dealer said the shock could be bad, the alignment could be out or some of the items Peter mentioned could be the cause. In any case, the tire was still safe to use.
The tag tire on the same side was fine, so we swapped the steer with the tag after the tag had it’s balance checked and the pressure was adjusted in both tires in accordance to the axle swap.
I think a visit to Prevost – Ft. Worth is in my future.

A bubble on the inside sidewall of the tire was definately caused by a shifting or broken cord. Specifically, the cords (which are steel or fabric) are bonded to the rubber with adhesive during the vulcanization process. I’d guess that cheap tire manufacturers don’t use the greatest adhesive or don’t do a great job of preventing contamination. You then end up with a higher liklihood of developing these bubbles when encountering a pot hole.
Heat can aggrivate the problem as well, but if the brakes aren’t dragging with the AF1 hooked up, that’s not the problem.

I can open the driver door which allows me to reach in and turn on the key, with the key on I can use a stick or something to reach across to the RH dash and press on the power window control for the entry door.

My 12v Aux compressor is not working. Checked breakers and it looks like I have power to the compressor, although I don’t know if there is a separate relay or fuse. Still a no go. Not a huge deal since it only controls three accessories, but one of them are my gen air bags and I would like to keep those aired up.
This is not “Prevost” specific as many truck facilities work on compressors. This facility is just on our way from NM to KS which makes it an easy stop.
