Do the gauges and other lights come to life when you turn the key but the starter does not engage? If so, the key switch is OK.

2.5 hours is not bad for cycling the aux compressor. Ours cycles every 18 minutes, and the runs for about 2 minutes after several leak fixes by Marathon. I installed a switch in the power line to the aux generator, since there is no need for aux air when we are not in the coach. Also, keep in mind tour buses as a rule does not have aux air, yet start the engine all the time without belt tension bags inflated.

try under dash about where your right knee would be… or side console toward rear on side. Voltage can drop to ddec during cranking load. Just weigh all options and hope you find it…

Jeff, thanks. Is it just a matter of checking continuity or voltage to determine if the overload is bad? or did you just replace it? do you recall part number?

    Thanks

One huge problem we all have is making selections based on recommendations. Over the years anything that can be a part of our conversions, from oil, to coolant, to tires, batteries, surge protectors, GPS units, window glass, and everything else under the sun has been discussed.

But each suggestion or recommendation is almost always based on one person’s experience rarely supported with hard data. Rather than asking recommendations such as on a surge protector I put a lot of weight behind someone giving detailed information about product support. I suspect a lot of what we buy is decent quality so buying decisions seem to be influenced greatly on how well the seller or manufacturer supports the product.

One other thing to remember is better to run genny 2 hours than 20 minutes, gets all moisture out of windings.

    OR THIS

    1. Fans who want to sit on the 50 yard line will have to shell out an exorbitant amount of money – they are $64,000 on Gametime, a ticket broker. There are cheaper seats, but even those cost $4,248…

Chad, call me. (404) 626-6226. I’m a retired FAA General Aviation Operations Inspector and your buddy may be able to make use of a little help. And for what it’s worth, I think he did an excellent job and I’ve seen all of the videos. Tell him not to take the 709 until we talk and preferably, side step any further conversation with the FAA until we talk.
