Name your coach?
Have you named your coach? Our first coach was a ’91 Pace Arrow we named Sally, because to us she was long and tall. The ’95 Affinity was Tilly, because she was mostly teal. This coach is Preema–PREvost MArathon–get it! We added the extra “E” so it would sound right. She is also a primadonna who works when she wants to, which luckily for us is most of the time. She hides electrical and other gremlins, which she uncages here and there. When we left Marathon Ft Worth Saturday, I had let the front bags all the way down to level her. When we left, the front air would not come up, so I manually raised the front to get us on the road. Then the AC buttons on the dash woould not respond, so had to stop in the next rest area to reset the coach–nice to have the OTR AC in the meantime! Worked fine after that. Then the water pump quit, but we managed until we hooked up at the campground. Fiddled with the pump and the connections, and got it working again–now it works fine. Then this morning, I went to dump the tank, and the ridiculous electric valve for the black tank would not open. Tried several times, but no go. Finally opened it up manually to dump the tank, closed it, secured it, and opened the grey water valve, which worked fine. Went to get a tour of Jimmy’s new coach here at Ruidoso Motorcoach Resort–beautiful coach–when I came back to close the grey water valve, tried the black water valve and lo and behold, it worked fine! Gremlins for sure.
So Preema is definitely a primadonna!
