The old style slide pins had a groove machined near each end around the circumference, into which an o-ring was used, with the idea to keep road grime from intruding between the pin and the caliper bushing. Apparently those o-rings made such a tight fit that it contributed to hanging up the caliper. The new style ones do not have a groove and do not use any o-rings. I changed all my pins couple years ago. For the old style ones, I installed them without the o-rings, and some were the new style.
Would be nice to know if these events involved slide pins with the o-rings.

My concern would be who would provide adult supervision for all those kids. We had some acquantances over several years ago, and the 10-year old son started opening drawers in our family room, just nosing around. When my wife stopped him, his mom got upset my wife talked to her son. In the house, that is bad enough, in the coach, it could have bad ramifications. Adult supervision is a rare commodity these days, and I would not want anyone in the coach I did not know and trust.

It is very difficult, depending on what the converter put in or on the drivers left panel, and in the steer/driver bay.

Agree with Jon. I have my Steers at 105 psi & have never had a problem filling them. Been out on the road nine months and have not had to add air to any tires.

Jon and Tom got fired from the parking detail. We were very sad, but we are getting over it. This year we are working on a project to get our lawn chairs to shape them selves to our butts as we sip cool ones watchiing everyone park.
The only involvment we are likely to have with parking will be scoring the drivers. We do not mark on a curve so you folks parking in November need to bring your A game.

Which model Little Giant are you guys using? I have a model 26 at home, but way to big and heavy to carry in the bus.

Hey Tom,
I will be going over to the bus barn today and will check to see if I have one on the upper passenger side. Seems like there SHOULD be four.Stand by.

We were in OKC at the no rally rally with our OTR air not working. Drove all around the area and Nobody! wanted to touch it, including Bruckner. We tried a local charter co. but they were too busy to get to us. We drove to Prevost Dallas/ Ft. Worth and problem was solved Quickly.

We looked at this coach a year ago at Lazy Days. At the time, it dropped all the way down on the passenger side overnight, so it obviously had a bad leak. The dark cabinets were refinished by a an amateurish brush job–suspect it originally had light maple cabinets. A previous owner had put a king-size bed in place of the original bed. As a result, you cannot open the door to the shoe cabinet apparent in the pictures. There were also a couple of drawers that could not be opened due to the same reason. The driver’s window could only go back up in stages–similar to the issue Jon described. We did not drive the coach–seeing the issues with the coach was enough for us. If the poor stain job does not bother you, the rest of the issues can be resolved if the coach meets your criteria. Slides worked OK when the salesman ran them in and out.

Bryan,
We haven’t stayed at Trailer Ranch but did drive thru and check it out last trip to Santa Fe. It is pleasant enough but space is a bit tight and I believe spaces to fit your coach will be limited. You could walk to some services, which you can’t from Santa Fe Skies, but aside from the space It’s really an in town vs rural experience. SFS can have some great sun rise and sunset beauty. We use several different routes to town from SFS because we enjoy taking in as much of each location we visit as possible and Cerrillos Rd which takes you by Trailer Ranch is one we enjoy driving. If you are driving to the Plaza and Cerrillos is your route from both parks you are about 10 minutes closer from Trailer Ranch. -
After our first year of coach ownership we realized two things. First, we couldn’t travel and keep a garden. Long periods away from home allowed weeds and critters to ruin our garden. But the most important lesson was summer travel was significantly more difficult than when schools are in session.
All of the comments about RV park spaces were true 25 years ago also. Not only that, in some parts of the country, such as the northeast parking in rest areas was almost impossible so something simple such as wanting to stop for a sandwich was a problem. Then there is the heat. I just don’t handle heat very well so there is not much I want to do when it is 80 degrees out.

One point on the wood cabinets vs laminate cabinets: wood cabinets need to be gone over every so often with furniture polish–we had beautiful wood cabinets in our last coach, but they require a lot more care than the laminate cabinets we have in out current coach. Like Jon said, rope lights don’t have to be turned on if you don’t like them–they burn out quickly anyway!

Went out to the coach a few minutes ago.
Both the 12volt and 24volt indicator lights on the dash were very faintly lit up, the DDEC Master indicator light was brightly lit up. I turned on the four way flashers and the running lights.
Went to the engine bay and turned off the 12volt chassis master. Four way flashers quit, running lights went out, DDEC Master indicator light went out, but the 12 volt indicator light sayed on (still faintly).
Then I turned off the 24volt chassis master. The 24volt indicator light on the dash went out.
I’m puzzled as to why on our coach the 12 volt indicator light on the dash didn’t go out when the 12 volt chassis master switch was turned off.
Jeff Rowe might jump in here with an explanation.
I would look closely at Darrel and Malia’s coach to see if there is something wired directly to the chassis batteries and/or the hot side of the chassis switches that is putting a draw on the chassis batteries. If you have a multi-meter with a clamp you might be able to detect the amount of the draw. One problem is that it looks to me that getting access to the back sides of the chassis master switches isn’t easy and probably fraught with danger if one doesn’t the proper caution.

Jon,
Thats for that explaination. Given the Liberty coach I noted above, would mind giving me your opinion of the asking price ? and also what would a fair figure be to deduct for not having OTR ? Is the asking price fair in your opinion ? I hope I am not putting you or anyone on the spot. Who knows maybe the seller is a member here.
Dale .
