I’ll add to Jeff’s post with my own bag replacement story with our 2000 Marathon “H”,
How do you justify the money spent on relacement when from all sides everything looks good installed ?
Found this on front air bag, the first one removed…replaced all bags on bus along with all norgren valves.
ETLC did …. bag replacements, all norgrens, all shocks, complete set Centramatics, trans service.

Dan: how old is the tire behind the front bumper?
Jon is right about carcasses all over the road. On Tuesday and Wednesday I drove from Grafton (north of Milwaukee)around Chicago up I-94 (Kalamazoo and Battle Creek) to I-69 past Lansing and then to Flint and back. There was a steady stream of shredded truck tires the entire trip. Saw four or five semi’s along the road with shredded tires. Saw two or three passenger cars with flat tires. Something I don’t usually see.

it’s 2500 miles away.
Can you recomend someone closer to Utah?
Thanks

I actually think our tires are pretty reliable, but with the heat that seems widespread around the country this summer I am sure that has affected them.
We can only guess how many members own and drive a coach, but at the usual 8 wheels per coach times the probable couple of thousand here on the site the percentage of problems seems pretty small. It has to be affecting all big vehicles because I’m seeing tire carcasses all over the place.

When I talked to Marathon, they indicated that some owners had replaced these ribbons and put them on the wrong way. These ribbons have a ground and they can be in put in backward. The cruiseair grey box is a 7-pin connection and the marathon black box is a 6-pin connection so there is a chance to put these on the wrong side.
The cruiseair that this black box was on was replaced and is not original. So whoever replaced the cruiseair could have put the ribbon on the wrong pin when reconnecting the black box to the cruiseair box.
To solve that problem, Marathon now makes the ribbons to only go on one way, with the ground properly seating itself in the right pin.

Good to hear BBB, I had a cheap brand X system a few years back, and had two flats because of their crappy sensors.
The Pulse system is definitely a Quality system. Like they say, you get what you pay for!
I like being able to choose different vehichles, since I pull a trailer or a toad, I’ll really test it by putting the toad in the trailer…………I’ll really be monitoring a bunch of tires then, maybe I should put some sensors on my Harleys too LOL!

After Jon’s first post, I went out and tried it out, but was not successful in getting upper arm hook into place. Maybe next time we meet, you can show me the trick.

Per,
Do you have a pic of what you’re talking about? My handles all look the same.

Bill and Linda , In july of 2015 we stayed at Rafter J Bar Ranch in Hill City,SD
for a week.It is centerly located close to all the atractions in the Black Hills.
If You have never been to the Black Hills area your in for a treat,IMOHO one of
the most beautiful areas in the USA. There is Elkhorn Ridge by Spearfish Canyon
but not as conveniant as Hill City.I would avoid the whole area during Sturgis rally
unless that is your reason for your trip.Every thing is sure to be booked at that time.

If your inverters were Magnum, I would definitely recommend that you reset them.
Regardless, a reset would not be a bad idea, unless someone knows a specific reason not to.
When I reset a Magnum, I turn off the breaker that supplies AC to the inverter, turn the inverter off, reset the breaker in the main box, make sure the push-button breaker on the side of the inverter is reset (pushed in and stays in), and then turn on the inverter.
Twice when I have had a loss of shore power and the air conditioners are pulling a very heavy load, the sudden surge will trip one of the inverters. I get the “overcurrent” fault. Resetting the inverter clears the fault.
Again, this is on a Magnum so yours may be significantly different.

I believe Shurflo has an internal pressure switch and as a demand pump it likely closes the circuit at the slightest pressure drop. You might consider going to the web site of the pump manufacturer and seeing if they have any specs or listing of service parts. Marathon probably can deal with it, but it is probable you may also find all you need is a single part to fix it.

Since you are at Prevost Ft Worth, have them find the air leaks. They can give you estimates to fix, and you can prioritize the repairs.
