On our rally schedule is this year’s Air and Coach Concours for November 10th through the 13th.
If you have not been to this event mark your calendars now. The event takes place at the Sun N Fun facility at the Lakeland Lindner Airport in Lakeland FL. Prevost owners and Prevost Community members will all be parked together, convenient to all the activities and events which include a 2 day vintage and special interest car auction, a flea market, car corral, and an endless list of entertainment and activities.
This will be the 3rd Air and Coach Concours and is expected to be even better than the first two which were fantastic. The folks from Carlisle Events do a great job and all of us attending can expect to have a great time. As the schedule and agenda is firmed up we will be reporting on it here.
So pencil in the dates and plan on attending. You will really have a good time.

What are the particulars on this. I live in Titusville and would like to attend.

The details change due to each event having different entertainment and features. As they develop the folks at Carlisle will begin announcing things like entertainment, featured cars, etc. The format will remain regarding what is happening on the days of the event.
To get a sense of the event do a search of the history on this site. There have been a couple of threads and a lot of posts.
Here’s one of the threads………….

PC,
I just got back from Grant Miller’s Collector Car Auction in Lock Haven, PA. It is such an incredible event and Grant, his family and his staff are all fantastic and make for such an amazing few days. If you have not been, you should really try to attend. From the setting, the staff, the other attendees and just the event in general, this is honestly one that I have not and will not miss. They had about 15 Prevosts, one Newell and several Wanderlodges. Feel free to email me if any of you would like to attend next year. I can give you all of the details. It would be great to get a few of us together from the Air and Coach Concours. Several that attended this past weekend will be joining us in November and February.
Speaking of, it was a year ago last week that Tim and I spoke with Tom and Jon for the first time about our event. It is just crazy to think how fast time passes by. I again would like to thank everyone for their help and support and most importantly the belief in the event. To Tom and Jon, Tim and I cannot possibly thank you enough. We really do take this to heart and it meant a lot to us that we could meet or exceed all of your expectations. Honestly, for myself, I can say that the fact that I made so many new friends is the most rewarding part. It also doesn’t hurt that I now have places to stay when I’m traveling the country in the bus.
For our November and February events, we will be producing a similar agenda and program. The Auction and the Event itself will be larger than in the past. On the auction side, we have now partnered with the world famous Manheim Auction Company (owned by Cox communication) to produce an auction this coming September 10th, in Lancaster, PA. Manheim first started producing auctions in 1945 in this same location. The ironic thing about this is that my father, Bill Miller Jr., and his soon to be business partner in Carlisle Events, Chip Miller (no relation), met at Manheim in 1972. Carlisle Events subsequently started in 1974. This one event is only the beginning of what Manheim is wanting Carlisle do with them in the future. I will keep all of you posted and let you be the first to hear the inside scoop as we start making future announcements. We will not be producing all-inclusive events such as at Carlisle or Sun n Fun, however we will be producing Mini Rallies for coach owners to attend these auctions that just might be through-out the country. Did I just say too much already?2017 will be exciting for Carlisle Auctions.
The Sun n Fun board has approved 70 to 80 50 amp, full hookup sites at the other end of the facility right by the runway. This is the same area that both Tim and I pointed out on our guided tour last year. This will be a huge improvement over having to deal with the generators and the view of the runway will be spectacular. This is where Tim and I live in our coaches all winter. The Luxury Coach Gallery (for sale area) will remain the same and the entertainment area will probably remain the same for November, but will be moving to a new and expanded area for February. We love the Cessna building and will probably still try to utilize it for November and for special events from then on, but it was not big enough for February’s overwhelming response.
Another addition to the event will be to add more of an“Air” element. Tim and I worked on this some last year, but as a company we ran into a last minute insurance issue. We are getting that resolved now so we should be in good shape for November and February. This should include static displays, rides and a lot more general air traffic. This, I feel, is a key element to educate knew potential coach buyers. We should have access to the “Warbird Ramp” (the seven paved acres) just to the right of your coaches last year. The goal is to use this for plane parking and then to have access for these guests through a gate that brings them directly into the Coach Gallery. Along this theme, Tim has been speaking with the president of the Lakeland Aero Club about getting all of us invited to their brand new hanger for a tour and sponsored reception. It is right on the facility and has an amazing view of the airport.
Now for what I think is a pretty big announcement! I had the opportunity to spend a little time with Bob Phebus this past weekend at Grant’s. Bob assured me that they would attend the event providing that they have inventory at the time. If I can ask a favor of all of you proud Marathon owners, please reach out to your Marathon contact to encourage and thank them for their support. I will be talking to Bob in the next few weeks and if you have any requests for specific service needs or seminars, I will be more than happy to work with Bob to see if we can make it happen.
Speaking of special announcements, Parliament MotorCoach will have their first brand new coach built since 2007 at the February event. I was down at the facility the week before last and it is amazing to see a coach in the build process. If you have never seen one being built it is quite eye-opening. Ben and Rick are amazing. With the ideas, dedication and enthusiasm they and the entire team have, this will truly be a state of the art, one of a kind

Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm. I assure that
we have a few great surprises in the works. From the early response I really
expect the event to grow considerably over last year, even for November.I am out of the office for another Auction this week. I will be
back in Monday and will give all of you a call then. Aubrie is in the office
and she is preparing an email to go out to all of our previous guests. We are
including a link to this thread and I am encouraging our previous guests to put
up some photos of the past events. Come on Jon, Tom, John Carrol, June &
Donald, I know you guys have some great photos. However, John we really don’t
need the risqué ones of you and the bear!If you need anything in the short term please don’t hesitate to
call.Bill III

Just had a good conversation with Bill. We attended last February and really enjoyed the event and more importantly the time spent with good people. I encourage anyone who likes cars, planes, and good laid-back atmosphere to get your name on the list. We were most impressed with the facilities, food and parking attendants??? (John/Tom). Thanks to Marathon for committing, you are only a short drive away. Bring some display coaches.
Jon and Tom got fired from the parking detail. We were very sad, but we are getting over it. This year we are working on a project to get our lawn chairs to shape them selves to our butts as we sip cool ones watchiing everyone park.
The only involvment we are likely to have with parking will be scoring the drivers. We do not mark on a curve so you folks parking in November need to bring your A game.
I know we promised that we would be there in Nov. as we could’nt make either one last year. But as Geo. will be in Milwaukee getting a dbl. knee replacement, we will once again miss. If there is another in Feb. we will be there w/bells on.
We have put it on our calendar, but we have some things going with friends, so it’s a bit early for us to committ. I am planning to stop by Jeff to have the brake chambers replaced on the way.
Corey/George,
It’s crazy what a
science they have knee replacements down to. I have a few friends that have had
them and they are back up in no time. Would still love to host you guys
anytime. I’m sure we will see you at Parliament and again at Clawfest.Cya soon,
Bill III

That sounds good. Remember we do have a pretty liberal
cancellation policy as well. You can receive a full refund up to 19 days prior
and full credit toward a future event after that. Hope you can work things out
for November. Oh and a 2000 is not too old for our event and you don’t even
have to send pictures. lolSafe travels,
Bill III
