Karl, it’s going to take a lot of firewood to hear all your stories when you get back. Hope we’re there.

That pic of Natalie looks good. Yours however, looks a little sinister, especially with that hand on your right shoulder.

i have about 50 questions about your boat, but this is not the place.

    Be safe, have fun!

When my engine exhaust gets too high the engine shuts down exactly as you describe. This can only be seen if you have pyrometers on your dash. The first time it happened was soon after I bought the coach and encountered the long grades heading from AZ into CA. Going uphill with the cruise on the engine just shut down even though the engine water temp was not at the limit (but it was getting there!). Pulled over quickly on the hill and got it started again. Let it all cool down. Went the rest of the way up the hill in a lower gear and slower speed like the rest of the trucks!

Unlike the tranny which is intolerant of overfilling some overfilling of the engine oil is not such a big deal, to an extent.

At 10 gallons your oil fill is not so far from the required fill that it is worth worrying about. You might vent some from the breather.

I have to disagree Will. I see people who evidence rectal-cranial inversion almost on a daily basis. I was going to say most arer politicians, but there cannot be that many politicians amongst us.

We may have to give Bob a special pass because he has a Prevost with slides that he built himself. He has his feet on both sides of the fence.

    Diane, et.al.

Coincidentally I just listed a no-longer-needed dash cam here for sale and it does have the ability to turn off recording sound, for just such an occasion! 😉

    Chad,

As Bob says if your plans are indefinite you can just show up. When you register on the PC rally site and we collect the non-refundible deposit you are absolutely going to get a site. We have no idea how many who have not registered on either site are planning to just arrive, but we have to give priority to those who did register.

BTW, any money donated for the parking spaces at Burdette Park will be donated to children’s programs so we are hoping for overflow crowds.

I think I will close this because everyone has had a chance to address this and it has the potential to get ugly.

Sad to say I do not have a single light switch for a lot of my lights. Without going into the coach to check, the following things require the use of a Crestron to operate as individual functions.

Microwave light Mine had a switch and again was 2 years older than yours

Sink light Mine had a switch

Kitchen lights Mine had a switch

Dinette lights Mine had a switch

Galley pocket door (galley side) Mine had a switch

Kitchen counter cabinet extension Mine had a switch

TVs (no remotes) The Crestron IS the remote and the factory one had NO advantages over it.

All 4 Cruise airs I could control all of mine via thermostats mounted to the wall AND the Crestron. More choice is still better to me!

In other words apart from the inconvenience of not having a switch near where I would use those devices or an alternate to the Crestron. If my Crestron pukes I cannot operate any of those items. I think Mark has a coach that has been improved because of feedback from customers like me who find the lack of switches unacceptable.

Your coach was short changed then. I would suggest that you have switches wired. When I wanted a control on the wall to move the dinette out and back in I had them run a wire so that I didn’t have to rely on the Crestron. It can be done.

I just want any technology applied to my coach to make sense. If someone wants to have the ability to unlock their bay doors from anywhere in the world with their cell phone I’m OK with that, but when applying upgrades like that to a system consideration needs to be given to the daily use of the coach as well. BTW, as I bitch about these things keep in mind I consider my coach so well done, so well thought out I cannot imagine one I would rather have. What I consider inconveniences are so insignificant relative to the overall satisfaction they have virtually zero impact on us. My point is they are examples of technology for the sake of technology.

And for some of us, technology for the sake of technology is a GOOD thing! I am pleased as punch not to have to pull the cord on an overhead lightbulb any more and would never want to go back to that. Your switches mentioned above are nothing more than technology that you embrace displacing older technology.

I replaced my fuse with a breaker fuse that resets if it was to trip. You can get them at any auto parts store, saves having to climb in the bay to replace the fuse.

Tom, have you checked ebay? I have had success finding stuff like obsolete parts on it.

The Ad is over a year old, 8/16/16, the system drops them at a year because many do not take the time to advise us the bus is sold and then we get complaints about a bus being for sale when actually it is long gone.

I updated your Ad, it’s online.
