Annual Emissions test for licensing, Ugh. Ever see an XLV on a “dyno?”

Dick Karth, i found a deal for our emissions test. Only $85.00. Heavy duty truck and bus testing centers in Colorado are allowed to charge up to their hourly rate. Another place i checked wanted $180 for dyno test

Jim: NO! And I hope not! We put the ARCA car on the dyno a few years ago and that was enough excitement for me.

changed truflo 700 air compressor.. 75lb and in a tight knuckle skinning, arm bruising place. Was over my pit so couldn’t use shop crane.( engine lift type) So he man 75yr old did it by hand..didn’t say smart! simple : drain coolant ,remove fuel filter, remove all lines, remove fuel pump, remove power steering pump, and one sob bolt between engine block and pump. then lift in, align and get that sob bolt back in. Was having a blast!

    Robert:

I need to replace the supply line from the power steering pump tank to the power steering pump. When you removed yours to replace your pump did you have to do anything special to get the air back out of the power steering pump/lines?

didn’t take lines off this time.. last time I did lines The were in two pieces. one from pump to rear bulkhead then 2nd piece from there forward. maybe you will get lucky and and just need the rear one.. filled resivoil turned steering wheel then added more about twice and capped res off. the line and bulkhead is just inside passanger side frame rail last bay… motor side is accesable from bottom of coach top of rear bulkhead..Might consider re routeing rear section and leaving old one in. You will see what I mean when you look up.. you can bust(remove) rear section without takeing loose inside hose at bulkhead Just a threaded connection between the rear and front connection.. My spelling is bad sorry. Bob

We had the coach towed to Prevost Ft. Worth. Just really happy that if it had to happen, it happened here!

Replaced the surge protector, it has been making a buzzing sound when connected too shore power. Was annoying when trying to go back to sleep after the 2 AM pee call.

Chuck: I am guilty of miss understanding ? from pump resivoil to supply side of pump just loosen hose and let the oil drain from res then replace hose (make sure it is oil rated) refill res then go..
