We are on the road
Posted by Chip & Pam on August 28, 2017 at 9:32 pmPam & I are officially retired from the Air Force and on the road. After New Jersey, Philly and New York City , we went to Connecticut. We are now in Rhode Island. We are on the 3 to 5 year road trip. Having fun so far.
After dinner we came back to find an XL 2 with slides parked across from us. Montana plates and a mini as a toad. It was to late to pester them. I’ll see if they are PC folks tomorrow. Anyone online staying at Melville pond, just north of Newport?
happy trails

Chip & Pam,
You will find being fully retired a real joy. Ann and I have been retired for about 18 months and this summer was the first time we have been able to travel at our own pace and our own schedule. It is GREAT! The hard part for me was learning to slow down and not worry about the phone or checking email. I am getting better at ignoring the phone. I even forget to take it with me sometimes. It really feels good when that happens.
Enjoy your trip and smell the roses. You have earned it.

Congrats Chip & Pam!
We’ve been on the road coming up on two years. Some unbelieveable memories and relationships made so far.
We were in CT in May, but are in Oregon right now … heading to Kansas for harvest in a couple days.
Hope to meet you all down the road!
Cheers…

Congratulations Chip and Pam! Thank you both for your service.

Yes thank you for your service! we will be leaving on our road trip of 1 -2 years the week after thanksgiving ! I retired in July and the wife will retire in Nov …

Chip, enjoy your free time, it will pass too quickly. If that XL across the street has a red Mini, it may be Roger Foster, a nicer person you will never meet. Always smiling, just don”t buy a used cxar from him as it is probably one from Houston with water still in the ashtray.
Thank you again for your and Pam’s service, enjoy what you have earned.

Congrats Chip & Pam, you’ll be so busy now with retirement you’ll wonder how you had time to actually work.

Great news Chip & Pam and welcome to the Prevost Community Forum! And I too would like to thank you for your service… Air Force is a branch of our military right? 🙂 I kid, I’m a kidder! My older brother was in the Air Force but only because he couldn’t spell Army! I talk with him every so often but he’s just kind of “up there” if you know what I mean?
You just met Tom of Tom and Nancy fame and the way your luck is going you’ll meet Jon as well. They are our loca moderators so remember you’ve been warned! You jump in any time, the waters just fine… Look forward to meeting you on the road!

Happy trails! We’re in Sheridan, WY .. again. Funny, Tim & Cindy aren’t here

Doug and Mary,
You didn’t mention if you are just passing through Sheridan or touring. The Kendrick Mansion built in 1913 is fun to tour.
Also nearby, is the Bradford Brinton Memorial and Museum (historic ranch and fine art collection).
Safe travels,
Mark
