Winnebago still supports Country Coach parts. That does not mean they will have what you need but in the past they have shared their supplier’s name for parts the no longer stock.
They may be your best chance short of a RV salvage yard.

Darrell, Joel was right in his advice regarding the Classic vs the Elegant Lady which is why I suggested you verify that you and Dan have the same model or vintage.
Shut down on a Classic I think is very simple. Before any Liberty shutdown disconnect the Watchdog. I did that on my coaches by removing the ribbon cable.
Shut down all incoming shore power.
Turn off switches for battery #1 & 2 in the electric box. Turn off the battery switches.
The house and chassis are not joined electrically so don’t worry about shutting both off at the same time unless you are more comfortable doing that.

Harry, I feel that I must remind you that this is a family Forum and therefore you should not be discussing how Tom’s end stinks.

Jon: Are you recommending shutting down the entire coach, including the house batteries and house masters, and turning off the shore power when changing out the chassis batteries?

Tom and I used to store dues money in the form of Benjamins in our bays, but after greatly exceeding axle weight limits, and blowing out a series of 365 tires we changed to digital currency. I haven’t weighed the bits and bytes of our Bitcoins yet, but I have been assured they don’t weigh much.
Does gold plating my slack adjusters add much weight?

First, our brass gas cap is not tethered to the tank but the blue plastic DEF cap is tethered.
I set the brass cap next to the fill neck when fueling so it’s in the ‘cubby-hole’. If I were to leave the coach, I’m not sure anyone could see it unless they stuck their nose in there. Secondly, I was one of those people that didn’t want ANYONE to have access to my checking acct. Well, I bit the bullet and signed up for the fuel discount program.
WOW, what a major convenience not having to go in and wait in line like I did for years with the other coach. There has NOT been one discrepancy with auto-deduction.
Safe travels,
Mark

Are you getting DC volts at relay to pull in contact , Jons correct a relay is a relay , it takes battery voltage from a switch. Then all it does is pull in contacts with a electro magnetic and connect 110v to the water heater or whatever else. It’s just a switch. Up grade to a new style relay , 1st thing check volts AC and DC

To get at Liberty Cruiseairs, for the front one(s) drop the bumper. For the center one(s) either look for access through a panel at the rear of the front bay, or if not try removing the entertainment unit and panel from the second bay, passenger side.

Tim T. if you cannot post or upload the information send it to me and I will make sure it either becomes part of this thread or an article available for all to reference. My email is active.

Not for a Country Coach, but Mr. Liberty told me the sequence some years ago. The four occasions where I needed to do this were: swap in new house batteries, swap in new inverters, reset inverters, slide the engine out/ in.
The order of these steps matter:
1. No shore power
2. No watchdog/autostart
3. Shut off both inverters at the remote
4. Shut off breaker for battery charger 1 and battery charger 2 at the control panel inside
5. Shut off master switch outside that negates the connection between house batteries and inverters
So this is how we do it for the elegant gramma lady. Country Coach will surely be different.

I recently bought R-22 at https://abilityrefrigerants.com and found it to be painless and pretty reasonable.

Doug, I don’t think there is a good answer. It looks like removing and replacing them is going to entail a lot of time and effort and unless great care is taken you could end up with leaks where there are none now.
But apart from the cosmetic issues I would have a concern about steel brackets and an aluminum skin setting up a very corrosive condition with the end result being perforation of the aluminum top skin.
Where I straddle the fence on the best approach is as long as the brackets were secured to the roof surface, and both had a good paint protection it is entirely possible where the brackets meet the roof their condition is as new, and the rust is only external and superficial. With the availability of products that will deal with rust on steel and some time cleaning the steel and applying protectant such as paint that may be the end of your problem.
For those that replaced the brackets was there any corrosion between the brackets and the roof skin?

Thanks guys, I check and it is R134a I will get a large can just in case. Also it was good to learn how to read the site glass which helps in keeping an eye on everything. That is why this site is great for sharing problems and learning about our coaches.
Thanks everyone
Darrell
