We have a CB on this coach as we did with the other. It has come in handy during traffic back-ups and a time or two when I needed info about a certain hwy.
There is not much chatter to listen to, it stays quiet for a L O N G time.

Met a Newell owner that had four 1/2 inch PVC pipes wrapped in foam pipe insulation that are the height of the Magna Shade. He inserts two under the shade each side of center to create an air gap between the shade and windshield. Therefore the hot shade does not transfer the heat directly to the windshield.
Can hardly tell the pipes are there and windshield is much cooler.

Harry, The batteries may be bad now, but what I said was that they were dead and as Jeff points out for some reason they are not charging.
I have no clue what power you are supplying to the coach, but anytime you switch from one power source to another is is important you monitor your system gauges to insure those devices you want to get power, in fact are getting power.
Typically all of our coaches get power to inverters from either the generator or any shore power source regardless of available amps, however if the available power is a limited amperage it is not unreasonable to have the current draw exceed the breaker current rating and trip breakers which is why inverter current draw has to be adjusted as needed.

I would assume that the transmission is tied into the overall system, so a serious issue with transmission could put the engine into limp mode.
Search for.how to read error codes off the transmission keypad to see what the error is. With that information trouble shooting will be easier. I believe my prevost manuals have that info. You can also find this on allison website (and other sites through google.search).

Congratulations on your new home on wheels! You must be very excited. We are still going through the learning curve (steep) with Marathon 1133 that we purchased in May. It sure is different than my Dutch Star in all aspects. I would urge you to study the books that came with it and spend lots of time just running the systems and poking around as much as you can. In the end I know it will be well worth the time you spend. Also, when you have a question,Leon in Oregon is the go to guy and the advice on this forum is invaluable as well.

All of us who escaped the hot humid weather at home spent the time in Petoskey sitting under the awnings in the shade enjoying temps so nice we could sit outside and not break out in a sweat. Speaking for myself I wasn’t going to take photos because that would have been work and the weather was just too nice for work.
Besides, I could not get the camera on my flip phone to work. Actually I am still looking for the camera on my flip phone.

When I was growing up as a kid just outside Naw Awlins, we all thought anything north of Baton Rouge was Yankee country. I was 19 years old before I found out that most people considered the Mason-Dixon line the beginning of “Yankee Land”. I did spend 3 years living in Alexandria which is north of Baton Rouge, it was sure different then south Louisiana but now that I know better, it ain’t no “Yankee” area.

I have seen this on Youtube and wondering how this might work to reduce the weight on the back or a coach and improve towing characteristics and reduce backing up trauma. Have no idea how legal or practical this might be but thought this is a very interesting concept. There are several being manufactured around the country. Michael

We also have the Bosh. I agree the dryer screen is very fine and we also clean it after every use.
Does yours cycle itself on and off as it runs? Ours runs for a while then stops for a while, wondering if that is normal. May have to get a Bosh technician to take a look.
