i converted 2/3 units to the penguin 2. I had to get a new thermostat since the analog units would not work. If you get the units with built in controllers you only need the $25 version of the thermostat not the $80 version since the later has the control unit with it.
The bad news is you need 12v to the thermostat and/or unit. The good news is you only need 4 or so of the 10 conductor cable for the old thermostat. So you can either get 12 volts to the thermostat or the roof opening and feed it either way. It was easier for me to get power to the thermostat so I went that way.
i bought the inside air distributors but in the end did not use them and built ducts from 1/2 inch foam board. My inside set up let me do that as the ducts are hidden. If you need the distributors I’ll make you a deal. Collecting dust in my barn. Much quieter going ducted.
New units also require the pan kit. These new ones drain straight to the roof. To use your existing lines you have to add a catch tray under the drain hole and then connect the piping/hose. The good news is that theses trays are not sealed if the drain line becomes plugged then the condensate will go on the roof not in the coach.

We went to Carew, England in 1982 as the guests of Rolls Royce and had a fabulous tour of the Carew plant. I was looking for a Cornich and wanted to see one built. We were the only scheduled guests of the day…
The experience was tremendous. As a back drop, we were in the ranching / oil business in Texas at the time and so my two children, Betty and my mother all were dressed in Western attire…mine included a sports coat, tie, Stetson hat and boots… I state that only to say that when we arrived, the workers gathered in such numbers that security had to be summoned as we went from building to building…
….remember that at the time, the television series “Dallas” was playing seven days a week in London…
The rumor spread that I was Larry Hagman’s brother (Hagman, as you will recall, played J.R.)… on one occassion during the three hour tour, seven machinists stood side-by-side and whistled the theme song of Dallas for us…. it was really great!
During the “sales closing part”, the Vice President of sales made a great prsentation. He was the son of the head of the radiator department and had been allowed a level “one higher” in organizational standing than his father (whom we also met). The most interesting thing this VP said when I asked for the specifics of the differences between a Rolls and a Bentley was ….and I truly quote: ….”When one departs his factory after having laid off workers, it is far better to depart in a Bentley than a Rolls”…

Koni web site… Shipped at lowest setting, soft. There are 5 settings to adjust increasing firmness.Have tried all 5 and my choice is soft as shipped. Koni shocks and Centramatic balancers on the front axle and you have the best of the best.
100,000 mile warranty and about the only thing that can go wrong is fluid leak.

I have them on the steer and drive , yellow OEM on the tag they seem to ride better than the OEM ones , with all the miles I put on my last coach had 315s and this one has 365s they make noise going over the cracks in the road it seemed to help just a little might just be me thinking it does
