  • Marathon – External LED Upgrade

Posted by Archived on November 17, 2018 at 12:21 pm

Continuing my quest to install LED’s, I replaced the Marathon Curb lights, I have 10 of them, with LED H3 bulbs similar to what Al did a few years back. Made a huge difference and look good. Also replaced all the Prevost cargo lights with LED Festoon bulbs

Tom I assume that your bay lights are 24V, where did you find the LED replacements, if you don’t mind me asking.

Where would you find the angled brackets that the lights go into. Have 3 down each side on my 91 XL and they’re plastic and one or two are warped from the incandescent light heat over the years.

These are probably pick up truck rear cargo lights of a few years ago….

Not expensive …. you can get the whole light or parts at dealer for Ford or Chevy

Or a junk yard …. these are very common.

I hard wired LEDs into the brackets and connected.

Thanks Guys. Did you all replace the incandescent bulbs with led’s for better light and less heat. That’s what wrong with mine, left them on and a couple are warped.
