I have the system in my coach, and I believe it is fully functional. I have turned it on a few times to try it out. You can tell the difference in how the coach steers. I would not characterize the steering as “better,” but it is different.

Since I do not use the system, I probably will remove it at some point. I just spent $10K at Prevost having my front end rebuilt, and that resulted in my coach steering “better.”

The sanitary tee is the fitting on that upside-down P-trap. The sanitary tee provides a mounting point for the air admittance valve. The problem with the original fitting was that it did use the type of fitting that you might find under a sink – a very very thin pipe with a “nut” to screw to the air admittance valve. With 60 psi (because of the clog) and 27 years of service, that thin part of the pipe blew apart.

I am sadly able to clog this pretty easily. My wife just bought me the “poop knife” 🙂 https://www.originalpoopknife.com/

This is not my first time with a Royal Flush toilet. I had one on my previous bus, and actually I could clog that one, perhaps not quite as easily as this one, but was still always a concern any time a #2 was involved.

I never really understood their demos, flushing pantyhose and quarters down the toilet. Nothing I flush down the toilet looks anything like that 🙂 In fact the biggest problem I have is that most “objects” are simply too long to even enter the hole and will not turn downward in to that hole. That transition from “bowl to hole” IMO is far too tight of a bend, hence my wife’s insistence to get me the poop knife 🙂

Our current coach had no hot water flow in the shower. Cold worked but not hot (no flow). A new shower valve fixed that problem

Its supposed to be warm enough for me to put the top coat on the por-15 this week. I feel like this might be me going over the top on the coating project, but I wanted it to look nice. When else will I have this much access with the airbags off, the struts off and the brakes off. I also did the battery bay.

There are many busses that travel in and out of Mexico with no problems. Every year after Quartzsite a bunch of Wanderlodge guys travel down, been doing this for many years. Enjoy yourself.

Drained and refilled today. 19 quarts, haven’t taken it for a drive yet. Would guess it going to take a little more once driven.

If you have jakes, you probably do not have enough room to remove valve cover, although you may be ok on an H. Usually, there is an engine access cover in the bedroom (assuming bedroom is at rear) floor which can be removed.

I had mine done at about 100k. I noticed no difference in engine performance but, obviously, this would largely depend on how far out of adjustment you tolerances were.

I’ve just had camshaft, all rocker arms and fuel injectors replaced on mine @ 280k and many people I’ve spoken to recently suggest running the overhead every 100k.

To answer your question, it happens on a trip because you use the bus to go on trips.

The longer you delay doing the real fix, the greater the risk the deferred repair reaches out to bite you in the ass. I have a Headhunter valve decide to not shut off on a trip and intially tried to think of every way possible to avoid fixing it until we got home. It finally settled into my brain that I would spend more time opening and closing valves and in the long run it had to be fixed anyway.

Once I committed to fix it I had to find the damn flush valve, which in that situation was under a cabinet in the kitchen. I spent more time finding and accessing the valve than I spent with the repair. The bottom line however was 6 screws in the valve body opened it up, and in my case a small amount of debris was blocking the minute hole in the rubber diaphragm preventing pressure to equalize on both sides of the diaphragm so water flow would stop. The actual cleaning repair took 10 or 15 minutes and the problem was never repeated. I bitched and complained about the difficulty of finding and accessing the valve, but after I got it all fixed and back together I realized access and repair was actually relatively easy once I knew how to get at the valve and clean out the problem.

    Andrew:

Not only my bus, but a lot of the yachts I run have the Headhunter toilets, The valves are not that easy to access (bus or boats). So my advice would be just replace the hole valve. I have tried to rebuild them, it works for a while, but you eventually have to replace it anyway. Make sure you get a new solenoid too. There are 12 & 24 volt versions. Make sure you get the right voltage.
