No problem with 75, but from Atlanta south lots of traffic. You are an Ironman making that trip in 2 days. I left Friday and arrived in Orlando Monday afternoon. Spent the nights at 3 different Cracker Barrel’s.

I 2nd the WOW DON!!!
That is scary, that the interior was completely toast and yet no indication on the exterior. Great detective work! thanks for posting this.
Do you think the new design, other than liking the looks better, is more robust than the older model?
Would you be so kind as to post a photo of the new unit in place?
Thank You!

Mike:
You need to change Prevostnewbie to Prevostsenior. You been a part of this form for quite awhile.

Don – you are both incredibly talented and can document like no one I have ever seen!

Thank you, will take a look this weekend…do you have a Kohler gen?
I believe I replaced the voltage regulator once, not sure, do you have the Kohler part number handy, just in case?

You said there was a burnt wire but you didnt specify what prompted you to start investigating. I assume that it wasnt turning over. If so, it seems to me that a good first step would be to just have the starter tested under load at an auto parts store.

Anyone contemplating the change which is worth its weight in gold is to do two things. First and foremost change every coolant hose because when the job is complete you do not want a hose to fail before the coolant ages out, making a premature refill necessary.
Secondly mark tags in big letters so even the dumbest mechanic on his worst day will not add conventional coolant to the system or replace the blank coolant conditioner with one that adds the needed chemicals to a conventional coolant.

Your 3 bus systems are literally separate systems. You can run a tank leak down test but if the leak in the system between them is relatively small such as a similar size to an R12 leak all three will go down simultaneously.
The reason for the valving between them is to insure if on has a catastrophic failure the others will still retain pressure.
I may be misinterpreting how the systems are set up and protected, but I cannot envision fully functioning valving allowing the systems on a non-leaking relay valve to lose pressure. Maybe the second problem is not a check valve for example, but 2 relay valves. I just do not think only one defect is the cause.

I’m trying to keep my cost at around $200k for the 30×48. The timber frame package (includes all cedar siding) is about $90k with shipping and tax. Quite a bit more than a metal building, but I wanted to do it this way, and eventually I think it could be turned into an accessory dwelling and fit in with the neighborhood of 70-150 year old houses.
