Looking for reference on repair facility for DDEC III there is a number of Google options each claiming best service.

I thought you could just swap in a DDEC IV computer?

You can try dieselecm.com. They are in Ft Worth, TX I believe. Depending on what’s wrong, they may be able to repair it. If not, they can point you toward how to get a new ECM. You will need a trip to Detroit Diesel to program the new ECM.

who said it was bad? DDec IV good thru 2000 then gets complicated when all the emission stuff was added. What are symptoms? Sorry to be so gruff but many a good ecm has been replaced because a bad wire or ground.. Bob

Got a check engine light and Pro Driver reported eeprom write error
Removed ddec and sent to Detroic control services
The memory was failed.
Replaced memory and no programming required as I sent in before the program section was corrupted.
Failure to address problem the shop said would require reprogramming and additional cost.
