Now here’s a real train horn!
Just don’t use it when a cop has got his head under the bonnet/hood. 🙂

I’m working from my phone here and not my computer so I can’t seem to turn the pic and get it right but that’s the unit.
Good to know the cheaper batteries work. This one has been going dead after about 30 min off the charger so I figured it was due for a new battery.

There are areas in London that are now so dangerous that they have been declared no go zones. Police warn the public about venturing into these areas and the potential for real danger. Police armed don’t even venture into these areas without an army convoy. http://www.lifezette.com/polizette/hundreds-muslim-no-go-zones-take-root-europe/
If you have gotten your CCW then one should know that this is only the beginning. As a responsible CCW permit holder or a firearm owner, it is your responsibility to put the time in at the range becoming proficient with your weapon of choice. If possible monthly range time shredding paper at different distances will make you competent, comfortable and proficient in having that weapon on your person or in your Coach or both. If one is not willing to put in the time to be proficient with a weapon then it is best to forgo the effort and rely on your instincts to avoid danger and hope you are 100% successful.
I look at it this way there are three people in the world. There are the Lambs, then the Wolves and finally the Sheepdogs. I am not a Wolf, actually, I am a pacifist, I avoid conflict, and I will not be a Lamb waiting to be prayed on and so I look at myself as a Sheepdog. Trained, competent, and ready to protect myself, my wife and others that at prayed on by Wolves. I seek no confrontation and will put the peddle to the metal to escape but if cornered and no way out, I will defend and fight.
I have never felt so comfortable as when I am out for dinner with my wife and I have a 9mm on my hip or a Taurus PL22 in my ankle holster and knowing that I know how to use it and that we will not be a victim when we least expect to be confronted. Every month my wife and I go the gun range and go through 50 rounds each at different distances and leave the range feeling better for the time spent.
It is everyone’s duty to assess their level of risk and act in their own best interest. If that is not owning a weapon so be it, I respect that and will not condemn anyone or pass judgement; that is their decision; as for me I have chosen the other route and am comfortable with that. I am pleased that so many here are not judgemental and have entered into a meaningful dialogue and discussion without recrimination. This is a great group and I am so pleased you have allowed me to join and learn about the greatest way to travel America, in a Prevost Coach. How lucky you all are to be able to travel in style with the freedom to seek the joy of living in this great Country. There is so much to see and do. Congrats to all; May God keep you all safe in your travels.

I bought 6 brightly colored velcro straps to put on the steering wheel even though some items have a built-in ‘warning’. I wrote on each strap with a sharpie marker indicating what it is for (am I getting old or what?).
-Antenna
-Outside step
-Extra carpet (needs to be moved for slide to come in)
-Clocks (put free standing clocks away)
-Check slide tops (if under a tree)
Safe travels,

My coach was consigned thru Trawick and Chris was fantastic about the entire deal, including letting me take the coach to Prevost for an Inspection.

pin 1 or 9 should have continuity to ground normally. When you push start it ties the other one 1 or 9 to pin 2 which is ground. You can try jumping 1 to 2 or 9 to 2.

your bus has a residential style “frig.” If the coach has been without power since you brought home, you’re going need to start generator. Our coach last two days plus just running the Amana before electrical things acted “Flooey”. -
Jon,
I don’t know anything for sure but. I did a quick pretrip yesterday to check eveyrthing and belts were loose. Bus hadn’t moved in about a month or more and it was 0 air everywhere but marathon house air. I read all the recent posts on the topic and told myself I should check that out next time. I was stupid, in a hurry and didn’t as the coach was airing up I thought I smelled something odd but figured it was just because the engine had sat for a while. Stupid again so off I went to test pulling a new 24′ trailer for my Side by Side.
The belt was cut in half like it jumped on a pully and worked to a point as the bellows filled. I waited a couple of minutes before going to high idle but my guess not long enough.
Learned a good lesson today. Always do a visual check on the engine running before leaving.
And never had the stop engine come on so for those that haven’t experienced it it all happens fast If on a highway or interstate it could have been bad. really bad.

Yes
that worked for me on my 04 XL2. Make sure you are turning the key the right
direction. Good luck.When
you get the door open lube the lock with 3in1 oil or go to the locksmith and
ask for the advise. -
I keep a set on the bus in the storage between the rear wheels. The good solid ones. I remember using them during my CDL test when I did the DOT brake test. They are pretty inexpensive and you never know!

Jon,
I might be able to help. When I can get back to the bus to see my service log. I had similiar issue codes the same with the exception of I don’t think I had the temp. It took about 6 – 7 months and three places to finally figure it out. Was a faulty sensor of some sort… i have the numbers and stuff and my coach is close to yours so it might help.
Is your engine derating when you get the check engine? Mine did and it wouldn’t reset until I power down and restarted.

Hang in there Harry. There will be bugs to work out with all coaches of our vintage. The no crank will most likely something simple. Do you have power on the chassis at all (Headlights etc)? As you know Jon is on Sr. time so his first available flip phone troubleshooting appt is 4:30 a.m. Have your multimeter fired up!

Walt, I think he would like your general impression on quality, power and handling. Also any words of wisdom or gotch ya.
