Harry,
When we get the coach back, I’ll see if I can get some pictures if I can figure out how to post them. I took a few pictures on the old blinds, so with some luck, I might be able to post before and after. The old blinds are electric, so the new ones are too. We are also having Jeff take out the dishwasher that we don’t use, so we are excited to see how well Jeff matches the finish on the new drawers we are getting in the dishwasher space.

We have 315s on our coach. Our friend with a 2,000 Prevost has 365s on front and tag. He is 3,000 pound heavier than our coach (one slide). I have driven his coach, and the ride in his coach was not significantly different from ours. We are within the front axle rating on our coach, so I see no advantage in going to 365 tires, and a con is potential availability concerns with the 365s. In my opinion, unless you need 365s for weight-carrying purposes, installing 365s are a waste.

I ran over a concrete anchor on the Ohio Tpk in my 2014 H blew the front tire.
Managed to get stopped on the shoulder and proceded to start the tire hunting process. After realising that my roadside ass—–tance were worthless, I called the Prevost service rep for that area. He ( Dennis Oner) was very helpful, said he would make a few calls and get back. He found a tire at a customer and had a tire service company call me to locate where we were to arrange an emergency service call. we were on the road again in less than 2 hours! Cost Tire $9500 service $ 2250 ( including tolls).
So… suggestion IHOP call the AREA Prevost service rep where you break down they are usually familiar with what is available in the local area.

Sid, simply stated, that bites. I was to understand that in the case of emergency, 365’s could be found and shipped. Can you tell us more?
Also, considering your bus is new, could Marathon provide any assistance?

There has to be a switch somewhere that controls which horn is getting the signal from the horn button. Check that wiring again.

I have wondered what to do about that. The boot is in bad shape on mine.

When I drive North to Marathon in Coberg, I used to run into an unusual sensation. There were times while driving in the mountains that I felt like I was losing power while driving. I felt like something is wrong with the engine because the road appeared flat, but the engine was straining and I was losing speed.
Its taken me a while to figure out that even though when I was looking ahead and the road appeared flat… if I looked to the side, I could see all the trees are leaning forward!
…the road isn’t flat…. I’m on a grade that due to the environment is an illusion that appears flat. A sort of “mountain mirage” or something.
It took me quite a few trips to figure that one out!

My ’96 Marathon does not have one… based on the comments above, there seems to be no consistent factor (vintage, slides/no slides) that would indicate why some have factory installed compressors and others don’t.

I think you just need to open the main door up and fiddle with the solenoid and it’s wires. Probably a loose connection somewhere in there. I had a similar problem with one of my bay doors.

Personally for me, I would want indoor storage or I probably wouldn’t have a bus. Nothing more, nothing less.
Storage in TN is 17 miles from the house, in CA, it’s 26 miles. That’s why I like the fact I can check on the coach remotely as it saves me time and worry.
Safe travels to all of my Prevost friends!

MemberOctober 20, 2017 at 2:13 pm in reply to: Setting up my coach for winter, what say you?I agree with the strong suggestion we should have a garage before we get a coach, but the reality is that is not going to happen in a lot of instances.
I already had a barn previously used to service logging trucks for the sawmill that was once on my NY state property so I had no concerns about where and how to store a coach in an area that saw an average of 240 inches of snow per year and at least 7 to 10 days of sub zero temps annually.
Where I live now I designed and had the bus garage built before we even moved in because I agree outside exposure is bad for coaches.
But a whole lot of Prevost owners live in areas where they are not even allowed to park the coach in their driveway or on the street, much less store it near their house. As a result these folks have no other option than to find the best storage available within a reasonable distance from their home. I would never want folks whose dream is to travel in a Prevost to feel bad because they cannot have inside storage. We have to make do with the best choices available to us.
Please don’t get mad if someone has a different opinion or situation from yours however. Debates and discussions are welcome but please be careful not to get snarky (is that a word?) when commenting about posts.

To clarify, im only 50 years old and in great health so I wasnt playing any card. On top of that my bus is indoors so I obviously didnt take it as pointed towards me or even Harry who started this post. My point was that the idea of no barn no bus is rediculous and your tone while trying to make that point annoyed me. Jeff
