Not and extension cord, but a power cord. I want to make sure I have a back-up shore power cord, if my reel cord fails.

Yeah, but we get to drive expensive busses at 5-7 mpg to get to our overpriced campgrounds. I guess the only justification is time of year and location, location, location. Geo.

Add these to the map please. Planning a trip to Rushmore in the near future and these hints help.

Jon, as usual you are right again.

I looked out the back door the other day and the eleven resident squirrels I have I saw digging up my money and running up the trees with it.

So now I am looking for donations to have a tree service come and cut down all the trees so I can get my money back.

Damn squirels, I am going to quit feeding them.

We stored our first bus in our barn for 10 years in the Jamestown NY area. Winters were long and we could count on minus 20 temps, sometimes lasting a week at a time.

Despite the fact the barn had spaces between the boards I would not run the generator or heaters while in the barn unless the doors were open. I would feel the same about running the Webasto, Espar or AquaHot.

I did not rely on the bus systems, nor did I ever drain or winterize it.

A 1500 watt electric heater on the kitchen counter top plus a 500 watt heater in the water bay was all I ever used to prevent freezing. The coach did not have an automatic transfer switch so I selected shore power on the big switch, insured I had power to the outlets and I was good to go.

Even if you have to run extension cords get electric heaters in the water bay and the house. If the freeze goes on for an extended period it is likely to do serious damage.

If you are uncomfortable with the life expectancy of your current shifter I would suggest you get the Allison part number, and then go to ebay and set up alerts for anything that might be interchangeable with the one you have.

The same is true of almost anything that you might need in the future but don’t want to pay full price, such as a reader for the engine, transmission and ABS.

I think if we drive any vehicle that is the size and weight of our coaches we should have a license that is the equivalent of the commercial version. In other words, anything over 26,000 pounds, anything with air brakes, anything towing a trailer greater than 10,000 pounds. I think there should be both a knowledge test as well as a driving test. I think the standards should be uniform across the entire country.

Competent drivers will have no issues with that, especially if there is no hurdles such as having to have a learner’s permit and requiring a licensed driver accompany you everywhere until you pass the tests. Give a person 3 months to schedule and take the tests after stepping up into a vehicle requiring a large vehicle license.

I think it is absolute insanity to require a special license to drive a Vespa, but no special license to drive a 45 foot, 50,000 pound motor home.

I believe they rebuild them because I just got a spare set of used brushes from him. Took about six months, waiting for a donor. Hope you did not just need new brushes.

Jon,All I can say is that the feel is totally different with the Koni’s,if you ever drove a bus with them you would replace the OEM shocks ASAP.
