Bluewater
Just made my arrangements to stay at Bluewater in a couple of months. There are not many posts on this place other than one recommending it if money was no object, and one saying they loved it. I am in Keywest now and we are used to the costs in the keys. Keywest is a place we go every winter. The lady there said the lot I picked was as good as it gets there. Nice tiki hut, with screens and an outdoor kitchen. Shari can even fish right off the bank or dock. The price was $180. I did take a look at some others in the area. They would do, but they would be a poor do. It would be the first time I would have th bus in the keys. Any opinions or suggestions?

Steve, when in the nite club buisness, probably gave as large a share of the profits to my HVAC guy as we got (LOL), but 180/nite for an extended period ? I would stay at Myakka or River Bend or somewhere else in or near Ft. Meyers and take the boat to Key West Occasionally. Geo.

Myakka is nice, and it’s close to my mom’s place. Problem is, we have the dog so I have get back to the bus every few hours. I am sure your HVAC guy appreciated your business and money!!Steve

Steve When will you be in Bluewater? There is a nice resturant near by called Kaya Eats. Only open for dinner.
We will be down the road at the KOA from Jan.16 to March 7. Rick

We will be there to n April. My mothers birthday is that month and we will stop and see her in Punta Gorda and stay at Myakka. After that we will go on down to the keys.. I will have to try out the restaurant.

Made reservations at Venture Out (Lot #497) last week for early January 2016. My uncle (retired USN Lt. Cmdr) and aunt lived there back starting in the 1970’s when it first opened up. Haven’t been there for 25 years. Paying about $120 a night and we’re on the water. Not far from Key West.
Anyone stay there or have experience? I should have inquired before I committed myself. Will file a complete report once we’re there.

went by venture out today and they would not let us in to look around. What we noticed was that it seemed very clean, was well kept, had ample security. The only negative thing was that they were packed pretty tight. Couldn’t get any picture. Blue water is just a few miles down the road. Not as cramped and their premium lots are $180 per night. -
