Triple Foxtrot, that is certainly an easy solution for Tom, stop all this messy greasing and screwing around in the dirty bays and just buy a newer coach (With slides of course)

Now that I am a soon to be Marathon owner I am going to need some one to do a walk through with me to help me learn the Marathon way.

Do you all think Tom would be willing to help me with this, oh wait, he doesn’t have slides, ok never mind!!!!

I live over in Fort Worth which is about an hour from there. What is the coach? I am not familiar with Mr. Olivers but have seen them put coaches on Craigslist.

I could run up there and take a look at something if it helps you out.

I had an issue with lazy bay door lock actuators. It started with an occasional failure of a door to lock or unlock when I locked the coach or bay doors only. It also failed to unlock all the doors when I did that using the bay door lock switch.

I do not know if this is exclusive to Liberty or it applies to all coaches, but replacing the relay that controlled the door actuators resolved the problem. I found the actuators are sensitive to reduced voltage as a result of poor contacts in the relay.

As one get’s older and a little wiser you learn a few things along the way. I’ll just watch this unfold….might not be pretty.

You will not even feel a 2 X 4 until you are past it. If you cannot get a helper to guide you use something you can see in your mirror to alert you of your position. Maybe tape a rod to the bus that will contact something you can see in a mirror.

Hi Jeff, Have you noticed how my harrowing experience has been turned into nothing more than a right turn on my way to church? Seven of the same posts and who runs the forum? Between the two of them they’re absolutely diabolical! 🙂

I need to go by and see what I did to that guys yard and see if I can help make it right. I couldn’t stop at the time but I neeed to see what I can do to fix it?

I cannot address your Marathon power needs, but if I had to rely on what I will guess might be a 20 amp, 120V power supply I would be uncomfortable. If I set my inverter (run only one) to its lowest setting I could keep my house batteries charged and that would include handling the phantom loads on my house that are always present.

I would not be able to trust it to handle the Webasto in cold weather because like the Aquahot there are the current draws of the blowers, circulating pump(s), etc. and I couldn’t run the refrigerator, water pump, or other things I would have the potential to need. Without the Webasto I think it would be OK but I don’t think I could maintain both the house and chassis batteries.

So if you are going to want to be less fearful and have some flexibility running a new cable would be far and away the best option. I would run at least #6 so I could protect the coach by running one or two A/C’s and still allow for plenty of additional capacity for the refrigerator and other loads that you might want to run from time to time.

That’s quite a story Mike and I’m happy it ended as it did! Every once and awhile we find someone willing to take the extra steps to make this outcome possible. Great news!

I’m with Jon on the “Is anything being done to get the metal out of the engine prior to the return for service”?

If you do that 0-60 test maybe Harry will let you use his calender.

The interior, under body, and chassis of my race car is “Ford tractor grey”, which a number of other vintage NASCAR Cup and BGN car owners told me theirs are too. The grey that Prevost used looks awfully similar.

TA stands for Turbo After Cooled. Some of the older ones just had the blower. You’ve got um all. More horsepower and heat.
