  • Paint code for chassis

Posted by Archived on June 14, 2017 at 10:52 am

Does anyone know what color or the code is for the paint Prevost uses on their structure. Its like a grey sort of color on mine and there are a few spots Id like to touch up.

I have some Ford model 9N grey and its a pretty close match but not exact.

    Thanks!

Your build sheet available from Prevost will list all colors. You may have to provide a copy of registration or title with your name on it to get them to provide it.

I called Prevost (Fort Worth) and the guy didnt seem very confident about the paint codes or build sheet for that matter. He was going to get with the body shop guys and find out more then call me back.

My build sheet shows all the exterior colors and manufacturer paint codes but does not mention the undercarriage/frame gray paint code or color at all.

My bad. I was thinking body color.

I used a Tractor Supply gray on mine and it was close enough for the areas not usually seen.

The interior, under body, and chassis of my race car is “Ford tractor grey”, which a number of other vintage NASCAR Cup and BGN car owners told me theirs are too. The grey that Prevost used looks awfully similar.

The paint theat is used onthe structure is actually an epoxy primer made by AzkoNobel labled LV260 and product # 484 188.

Here is the contact information for a gentleman who can direct you to the nearest Azko dealer.
