I have a 2005 XL, Marathon. About a year ago I had one line split at the connection. I cut it shorter reconnected all was well until this summer. Now one splits, I fix it and another one comes loose. I bought a kit from Marathon including connectors and lines. I have service scheduled for October, I am going to let them replace it. They told me once they start to go they all will go. They are right.

Drained old fluid and filters I changed Allison oil filters (4 inch long) measured 6.5 gallons out, refilled with 6.5 gallons, drove bus 20 miles parked in rv building leveled bus with engine running pulled dip stick and just a little under the hot full mark, Pushes up and down arrows and came up O L then O K , Never knew how that worked before if dip stick is just a little under full and it says O K don’t add??

Try to reset it, Unplug from 120v turn off battery power make sure inverter screen is totally off, Give it a couple of minutes then turn on 12 or 24 volt then plug it back in to AC volts 120v then see what happens.

Our B500 is in the same family as the 4000 series.
There are 39 different ATF that are Allison approved.

When I change mine it only takes between 7 and 8 gallons. The filters sit on the plates with 6 bolts (I think there are 6) and they are the short filters. Assuming you are not in a hurry, after you drain the old fluid, drop the filters and just buy the same size replacements.
I measure the oil I removed and refill with the same amount. Checking fluid level with the dipstick is pretty much a useless exercise so after the change is complete I drive it to warm it up and use the touchpad to verify the fluid level is correct. Press the 2 arrows at the same time to enter the fluid level check.
Whatever you do make certain you do not over torque the filter bolts.

Mike,
we are planning to be in the Jackson area by the 28th. Still need to lock in RV spot. Where are you staying at?
Looks like I will be taking the route thru OR & ID, then will be looping south because of the Tenton Pass closure.Alex

I brought my 4 spoke wooden 18″ steering wheel from:
they have a large selection or they did when I ordered back in Feb 2022.
Had to edit this post….looks like Bob’s Chrome Zone at the above website is no longer in business. But I believe an 800 series SCI steering wheel will fit the Prevost. That’s what I have on my XL. I just had to slightly enlarge the holes by a fraction because the screws were a hair tight.

You have a ground issue, chekc all grounds involved in the wiring.

I have read online (so it must be true) that once you push the neutral button to disengage the transfer case the electric steering is engaged until you reengage the transfer case. Supposedly that is why you Must have a charge line installed.
ChuckP.S. Jon it’s great to see you back on line. Hope all is well with you and your family.
