Dick,
It is EVERY time, fueling slow or fast. I have even stood and listened for the fuel to gurgle and as soon as I hear it I shut it down. Then it gushes out….. I just wad up a pile of paper towels around the nozzel and that pretty much stops the problem. I still have to deal with the towels and diesel smell on my hands, not that I think it smells all that bad but Shari hates the smell….

Jon, It does have the monitor. All readings are correct there, as per your instructions early on.
My bus has two Vanners. But only one is hooked up, which may be part of the reason for the light. But everything seems to work. One of the Vanners is the old 60 amp style. This is the one that is unhooked. The other is the newer 100 amp style.
As for cutting the batteries off… I never cut mine off when I am on a trip. But when I get home to park for a week or so, I’ll cut them off.

I always loved the air lock on the door. But as said, it is mostly for pulling the door tight while going down the road…
I found out something recently that I didn’t know. I was working on my bus when I was having the trans problem. So I turned off the batteries and let the coach sit for a while. I can’t even tell how it happened, but at one point I went back to turn the batteries back on and when I went to go back into the bus I was locked out – by the airlock! Freaked me out. I was on the side of the road and locked out of my bus! After a brief moment of panic, I went back and turned the batteries back off, and went and the door opened. Not sure how it happens, but at least on my bus, the air lock is somehow tied into the electrical system. So even if you don’t have air leaks, this would make it an ineffective overnight lock if someone were to figure out to turn the batteries off. Try it on your coach and let me know if yours is the same. Have someone air lock it from the inside and then go shut the batteries off and see if the door opens.

My BAT light has been on since I bought the coach. No telling how long it had been on before, as the previous owner had black electrical tape over it. Have checked all inputs and all are in range. New batteries last year. Never caused any problem other than the light being on, so I just keep on running it. Eventually, the culprit will present itself.

You have only the twos A/C temperature settings, one for the driver’s air on the left, and one for the coach on the right. They are independent of one another. There are no other thermostats for OTR.

Arrive with the water tank full and the holding tank empty and all that should be needed is to plug into shore power.

I will have the freon checked. I know that when they converted my bus to R134, they just took the cheap route and only replaced a couple of hoses. I’m sure it leaks out over time. It is confusing how my bus gets so cold if the freon is low though. I can seriously get my bus down into the mid 60s with 9 people on the bus when it is near 100 degrees outside.
As as far as fans… I know I have the single motor that turns the two squirrel cage fans. Had to have my motor rebuilt last year.. Or at least had brushes replaced. It was giving quite a light show.
Im not sure if anything is actually freezing. When I turn off the switch, it immediately starts pouring out gallons of water. It is not gradual like melting. But I don’t understand this thing so I am not discounting anything. Thanks for the advice. I’ll start with freon and go from there.

UPDATE
Just as no one could ever explain why my bus ran so cool (averaged around 170 from the DDEC), no one can explain what changed. The shop kept wanting me to buy a new radiator and I was sure that wasn’t the issue. I did check the trans fluid as Jon suggested. It was fine. Finally settled on changing thermostats. It’s still not down to where it was, but now I’m running about where everyone else is, I assume. On my recent trip to SD, I stayed in the 184-187 range most of the time. Got to 190-191 a couple of times on long pulls. Still wonder if I might be getting a little too much heat out of the trans sometimes. Sometimes it will go to 200 when the engine coolant is still 185. Maybe I’ll consider adding an external trans cooler later.

Dale, my coach drains all the time when using Prevost AC. One drain on drivers side middle of coach and front right in front of door. It puts out a lot of water out when the humidity is high down here. Sounds like yours is freezing on coils and ice is melting after you shut it down. Check freon like Bob said.

We love Liberty Harbor – but certainly not for its amenities. My wife is from Chatham and gives it the thumbs up as well. She is also proud of her NJ driving style.

I am not about to start picking on any coach that has been rumered to be driven by a good father.
I don’t have room in my queen size bed for a horses head (or a horses ass)
Its always fun to be here.
See some of ya’ll at Jeff’s place. Maybe we can start picking on him.
By the way, I wear a size 9

This will not help you with the over all cooling problem but in the future you can lock the fan clutch in high speed without risking breaking the bolts. Remove the relay for the fan and break off the 85 blade and it will be locked in high until you replace it with an undoctored relay. I keep one with the 85 blade removed just in case I need to plug it in during an emergency.

I have two mini iPads and one Android phone connected to my Crestron. The Crestron app doesn’t use much memory. My iPads are 16 GB units – the Android phone is just an old phone no longer used as a phone. The iPads are older versions. I wouldn’t use a full size iPad because of the size. Other mini pads based on Android system will work. The Crestron app is easily downloaded at $100 a pop. I have three controllers for convenience of not have to carry one unit from room to room or out to the bay A/V unit. -
Diane,
Is your IPad not going to the mobile site? If not, settings, Safari then clear history and website data.

Truk, I’am really impressed with the new “videos of interest”. Your presentation is very professional and easy to understand.
The video format makes it easy to follow. With new to me our bus with 4 cruise airs the information showed the steps to take advantage of many options on the SMX control board.
Keep the videos coming.
