Great news. I have never owned anything that ran with that low of an oil pressure.

Its strange that it can vary that much but I will take their word for it.

As Tom Said, This form is not the place to resolve this but Larry keeps attacking me.

I stated that I was willing to work and resolve this. Larry texted me many vulgar explatives attacking me. If he wants resolutiuon he can call me and I will work with him.

    Respectfully,

    Doug

That’s great that Excalibur has some positive comments from some of their customers. They also have some negative comments from some of their customers. All I’m concerned with at this time is the work performed on my coach at the present time. Doug at Excalibur still has never contacted me in any form to try to resolve these issues. As you can see reference his post, he claims absolutely no responsibility in ANY of the issues I have brought up regarding his work on my coach. Doug needs his ego stroked so he calls Ed, a former customer to tell how great his work is. That has nothing to do with this incidence . At this point I could care less about any restitution from Excalibur coach. Like I said in the first post,if you use Excalibur Coach beware! With this many mistakes on one coach it cannot just be a isolated case. I just wanted others to be aware of the problems I personally had with this shop.

    thanks Jon

Maybe the bracket fractured first. Then the bolt let go when the part of bracket came into contact with belt pulley on fan support area. Never going to know exact order of events. This happened late (1 am) last night Called Prevost. They are going to have welder hear this morning. I will get bolt from home dept or such.

Got really lucky. Have Silverleaf and saw temp just start to rise as sign for rest area 1 mile pasted. Pulled in to see what was going on.

Now what I have to do is figure out how to remove bolts that attach bracket to fan support. They are 3/4 inch and very tight. Have sprayed on some material used to loosen bolts still not moving. May need someone stronger than I am.

Just happened to me while I was driving and it sloshed-out on my new wood floor.

Sue at Mullaney and Associates (parts dealer) was very helpful selling me a replacement solenoid which is what the service manual says is the likely fault.

He was kind enough to quickly walk me through trouble shooting a chassis battery issue and giving me some pointers that only an experienced technician has picked up over 20 years of dealing with these things so I could properly replace the batteries. Made swapping out the 4 chassis batteries go very quickly and very trouble free!

How many beers did you have Charles, looks like the job is done!:)

Charles: I think we stayed in one of those motels you were parked near. We had flown into ATL and drove to Birmingham to spend the weekend crewing for a Wisconsin based ARCA stock car team racing at Talladega. We were flying out of ATL early Monday morning, needed to stay close to the airport, and we made reservations (late of course) there weren’t many options as there were lots of people leaving Talladega after the race and flying out MOnday morning.

We have to 2x the compliments you paid Jeff Rowe. He is an asset to anyone who owns a Prevost or is thinking of buying one. We heartily recommend his services.

I replaced my last 50DN with one from Elreg. At the time, no core charge total cost $860. It was an original equipment Delco.

Also I am not sure of the current Klien Generator Cooling System Design,But in the past they have been known to use a Auxillary Fan for Cooling as well. Make surre if it has one that it is clean ad working. Also keep the radiator washed out as the way it draws air if from underneath it sucks in a lot of dirt. I been Driving Entertainer Conversions since 1986. They dont always have the best generator cooling system design.

describe how yours is set-up for cooling or add a picture and maybe I can offer some help on keeping the Generator Cool.

Point well taken. My point was the commoradey. Of the prevost owners and their desire to help . As a new to be owner, If Asked about my opinion would be on my limited experience of my plastic coaches in the pasted and the current experience with the one I Owen will now. BUT with the knowledge gained fron sites like your and the help of all the post your knowledge has expanded greatly. Post help, someone like me, to come up with a decision , with the knowledge of others, still you are on your Owen and the good, the bad and the ugly is on you shoulders. The help of others to guide you thought with repairs along with information on witch produce is best to purchase is in valuable asset. Your personal want, desire, and needs take priority. So keep those post coming.

I’m still trying to sort it out, but looks like mine is the chassis. I have 3 Equalizers and not sure how all that works. I have 2 Vanners and the Sure Power. The Vanners appear to wired in parallel.

Metal pup tent. I like it!

I think I fixed the rattle today. I opened the awning, then the window, then tightened a screw holding in the handle from the outside. Crossing the minefield that is the streets of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine it seemed quiet. Now, the blinds vibrated with every bump, but I think the handle was quiet.

Al, I will still buy you a beverage of your choice!
