Short story of repair was a ground issue at ECM. It required pin replacement and wiring update. Three (3) ECM’s were installed as they learned from there Allison factory techs that …HAD.. to be the problem. It was not.

I was in contact with Mike (dfwcantor) and after our phone conversation faxed him the Allison shop ticket so when he arrived at Allison that invoice was a detail customer complaint …cause and cure and not some BS where the owner does’nt know what he’s talking about.

I had a very large shop Allison $ ticket. On the plus side the problem was repaired properly.

    Andre,

I’am sorry your local store did not accept your NAPA card. Some store owners don’t see the benefits of selling NAPA parts through this program. I just shake my head !

You also took time to source out another store to save some money, thank you.

At the present time AITA-NAPA card cannot be used on the on-line store.

Vantare used them too. I have never found a full 90 in Thetford and by the time I use the adapter a 90 will not fit. A 45 will not work on my coach so I am stuck with an open bay door when the hose is hooked up. Obviously I do not leave it hooked up.

IF I ever tear into the valve I will replace it with the common size.

I have the manual and can look up how to flash the code (certainly don’t recall how) but also interested in a ready. Have tried to sort it our a couple of times but never get there. Don’t want to spend thousands on one.

    Greg,

The state of Washington does charge to license your RV here. I think they charge around 8-8.5% of the “declared value” of your RV. It will set you back a few dollars. However, that being said….we love Battle Ground and feel it was worth it. If you are out this way, we have a very nice little DMV located on Main street next to Burgerville…there is almost never a wait and the two girls that work there are very nice and would be able to answer your questions regarding licensing. We moved out to Battle Ground last year from Oregon ourselves. We have a beautiful property close to the Battle Ground state park. There is a large shop/RV garage on our property that we are currently working on widening the driveway to accomodate our motorhome. If you are seriously looking at relocating here I would be happy to keep my eye open for property for you as I am out driving around. We grabbed our house after it was on the market only two days which was a lucky find. David fell in love with the property and wanted it after seeing the big RV garage/shop (I finally got to view the house after the garage and was ready to write an offer after walking in the front door…lol…so it suited us both well). Please call and stop by if you are out this way 360-991-9169.

Bus 13 is currently at the TEC located off Columbia in Portland, Oregon. They are an authorized Prevost repair shop and they are taking care of the Prevost recalls for us as well as looking at the brakes etc. We realized that if the old tires were from 1997…the brakes haven’t been looked at either so we are having them assess that as well. We are getting a price on the window replacement from them…they said they can match the tint. I may just order the window…and find another place who does engraving to take the window to them and have it installed afterwards. So window replacement will be a several step process but I want to look the same as the other windows.

We did go through a box of paperwork that we found in the closet of the RV. We were able to piece together the entire origional Beaver Coach Service Manual. Which is basically a book of general schematics for various systems and a bit of troubleshooting. David is a mechanical engineer….and he was very happy to find this. I am currently organizing this into a new binder for him. If anyone needs a copy of this book we would be happy to scan it and send a copy via email. This Beaver Coach Service Manual was issued July 1990.

Thanks again for everyones assistance with our new project. It has been very helpful! Judy

For a while I carried a small motorcycle on bumper rack, (that
was my towed). Traveling down a narrow two lane road an oncoming automobile flashed
his lights I looked in mirror as he passed by and saw my bike was be being partly
dragged. The inside strap had come loose, it flipped over and the handlebar
was dragging on the pavement. I panicked, quickly found the widest place in the
road, pulled over ran around, gabbed the handle bar and picked it up. Guess which side of the
handle bar I picked up. That’s right, the red hot side that was dragging on the
pavement. The rest of the drive was
spent with ice cubes wrapped in a towel around the palm of my hand. It helped
the pain some, but when I got to the campground I took the ice cubes put ’em in
cup, poured a lot of tequila in the cup and that really helped.

That would be great Tom. How can I make it easy for you? I will check in am and see if I can send a prepaid fedex envelope or equivalent. How is the bus shopping?

you have found the 2 best in Moab. Portal is the best of the 2. You will fit in Spanish Trails OK. The spots at ST slope to the front of the Coach. The folks in Moab say May has the most visitors. We went to Moab for the day last Thurs. This was during the 47th year of the Easter Jeep Safari. About 3000 jeeps there. We drove over for the 2 day vendors show. Only bought $1550 + of goodies for the Jeep. JEEP (justemptyeverypocket). Somewhat like a BUS.

Oh how the market has changed………..

Not that long ago there not only were a lot of choices available in the market, they were cheap (if you can call a Prevost cheap). Today the good stuff is being snapped up almost as fast as it hits the market. That makes the sellers giddy with joy because they sell their coach fast, and sometimes do very well on the price.

That is the good news. Here’s the bad news. If the seller (like Tom) wants to get another coach the bargains are gone and the pickin’s are slim. The coach he wants at the price he wants may be out there, but it is going to be a challenge to find it. I think George and Corey have the coach Tom wants.

Gil and Buddy are the CC experts. I expect either or both can help you.

I suspect however the part needing bulbs is likely an aftermarket reading lamp such as might be made by Hella or some other company. If you can post a photo it might help.

At the bottom of the forum page are instructions.

Thanks for the link. I had searched a Michelin site this morning but all it brought up was car and light truck places. I now have several options to call.

Edit: As of this afternoon we are now dealing with a health crisis in my daughter that travels with us so that complicates the process a little bit. I did not have a chance to call one tire shop.
