I have hauled replacement sensors for oil pressure, coolant etc. for years.
Finally had the oil pressure sensor to fail last year and did NOT have the right sensor socket on board to replace the sensor. Took me 6 hours to go what normally would have taken 3 hours.
Make sure you have a sensor socket to go along with the sensors.

Nice mess Tom. We left TGO last Monday headed North, driving the pickup. Left at 3:00 am, sunrise in Georgia, no lovebugs!
How many beers were needed in the mixture?

WhooHoo! We’re down. The last one was a blast. This one should have twice as many in attendance because of location.
Thanks Dan,

Ralf,
You’ll find Jeff, Jon and myself at our vendor booths, look for ETLC and Trans-Specialists RV Batteries. Prevost Community will not have a booth at the show this year, but Jon has volunteered to help man the booths and bring us coffee.

This brings up an interesting thought for me.
An old barroom bet question is, ” Which is more dangerous, a tank half full of gasoline or a tank half full of diesel fuel?”.
The answer is a tank half full of diesel fuel.
Reason being is that due to the lower volatility of the diesel fuel, the fume/air mixture is a much better mixture for combustion. True, I guess, but both will make you just as dead. I had a friend who is no longer with us because he didn’t take the same precautions in welding on a diesel tank that he would have taken with a gasoline tank. True story.

The coach is designed to run the generator with the bay door closed. If this produces overheating issue then: is the generator really overheating, check with IR temp gun. If it is then: verify generator radiator is not obsructed, you have good air flow. Coolant level is good, then you will get into possible partially plugged radiator, TSTAT, etc…

I broke a shift cable this summer on my 08 Sahara, not a fun fix and if you’re in the boonies your screwed. I’ve found that if I have the motor running, transmission in neutral and when turning the key off immediately move the transfer case to neutral allows it to move easily. You kind of have to time it just right, but it works.

MemberOctober 12, 2019 at 5:16 pm in reply to: Series 60 Engine ignition off at highway speedIt is strange that Prevost was not able to find an inactive code. It almost sounds like your ECM SW crashed while it was recording the fault. This sometimes happens with older ECMs when they encounter a fault writing to the EEPROM. But this usually is not fatal and sets the code 53. What version of DDEC do you have?
A long shot but failing belts can do strange things as they whip around the engine compartment. I had one belt unscrew the transmission dip stick as it came apart. Check that it did not damage your remote/rear start switches.

I did this job a few years back and it was not that difficult HWH slide 2000 model . The middle ram is the sync one. You need to unbolt both slide rams , not the middle sync arm that remains attached. But you do need to unbolt the other ram so it is free to move in and out without moving the slide.from the room and run them in and out a few times till they are same . Then reinstall . If you do not do this you are trying to move the slide and it will jam and bind up .
you remove the 2 lines in the front , remove the bolts , unbolt from slide opposite end and pull the ram out. reverse steps to reinstall . As I said the key is not to be attached to the slide when you are syncing them .

awnings back in the day had an arm that hooked into the rail at the roller end of the awning for stability. This cradle helped assist the placement.
