Napa card use and question
Finally got to use my NAPA card to buy some belts today. My local NAPA in Florida does not honor it, so I tried the one near where I am staying in Bay St Louis MS and they accepted it. Saved a fair amount on the belts I bought for spares.
So the wife asked a question that did not have an answer for. Can the card be used to get a discount on the NAPA on line store? Since my local store does not honor it, ordering on line with a discount might pay off.
Every little bit of savings does add up and just makes you feel good!

I’am sorry your local store did not accept your NAPA card. Some store owners don’t see the benefits of selling NAPA parts through this program. I just shake my head !
You also took time to source out another store to save some money, thank you.
At the present time AITA-NAPA card cannot be used on the on-line store.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I will keep looking for stores closer to home until I find ome that accepts the card. It really was a great feeling to see how much it saved.

I had the same problem Andre, one would take it and the other wouldn’t. Guess who gets the business? Also, if you can find a company store and not a franchise, then your good to go. Al, correct me on that if I’m wrong…

, All company owned stores will honor AITA-NAPA card.
Local owned NAPA will for the most part honor it. Some of the smaller volumn stores don’t do enough sales in heavy duty side to qualify thus, will not honor the card.
As we want customers to buy at our store.. NAPA wants to grow there jobber business. Offering programs to increase business by bringing customers into the store. These programs are what they call reportable. If the NAPA store meets minumn volume requirements. Then NAPA rewards the store by making up part of the $ it discounted.
On some lines we actually sold at break even or pass through …. with high volumn we made more money. i.e. tier level sale on end of month total sales volumn. That’s where some store owners get lost in “what”…….well I think you get the picture here.
Got a little carried away on this.
BTW…..NAPA… appreciates your business and has given free goody bags at both PC rallies.

Same problem using card also, one store took it the other didn`t however I asked for another discount & they gave me a teachers discount and do each time I go their. I`m not a teacher either but they want my continued business & I frequent it.

The first attempt to use the card locally was a NO at my local store. I live in a wonderfully small population area so there is not an alternate store anywhere close. The second time I went back to my local NAPA they asked if I still had the card. Why I did and they honored it. Been back several times since then no problems.
So try again, maybe the No has turned into a Yes. You won’t know if you just walk away.

I’m enjoying saving money with my NAPA card all the time now. Originally they told me it could only be used for filters. Now I am using it for everything! Bought four new NAPA commercial start batteries a couple of weeks ago. Saved close to $20 per battery.

My local NAPA dealer in Crystal River, FL doesn’t accept the card. He does give me a little break, but nowhere near the break I hear some posting.

He has the card, but probably ran into the same thing I did on the first go around, nope we don’t take that….
Mine came around when I told them OK, I’ll take my business to the other store, they have no problem with the card.

The next time Gil goes into his favorite NAPA store I want him to try this. Just ask the counter person to enter the code on the back of Gils card. Jobber can’t screw this up as it’s a national program.
FWIW the counter person must enter an account name or account number. Our account number is our Prevost Community pricing profile aimed towards heavy duty truck parts.
So, if Gil could get some cooperation we could get this jobber fired up, might make enough money to buy a bus….could happen.

Were you wearing your CC shirt when you tried to use the card, that might explain the breakdown in communication? When I used mine I was wearing my Liberty hat and they discounted another 5%, really, I’m not making this up, just ask Jon.

Jobber probably thought “Liberty” was a reference to the freedoms in America that our military has ensured for centuries. If so he should have given more than just 5%.
We should all pause tomorrow, and every other day, to give thanks to all those that served and especially to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice – and their families too! Our freedoms and rights are under constant attack today. The Judeo-Christian foundation of our liberties is crumbling under the “Progressive” agenda. Our courts are a significant contributor to this attack. They no longer interpret and uphold the law, they have become activists in making laws. How can a penality be anything other than a penality for not having performed a requirement of a law passed by the Legislative Branch of our government. No the Supreme Court of our Country determines the penality to be a tax. They should have looked up the defination of penality in Webster’s.
Somehow we must come together and counter this attack and restore the freedom and foundation that were the foundation of America.
