The air horn, train whistle and the CB speaker.
Our new Liberty will have all forms of ‘exterior’ communication. The air horns, train whistle and of course, the exterior CB speaker.
I assume that most all of the Liberty’s have this set up. Do you use it? Do you ever make announcements when stopped on the freeway to alert the cars around you what the hold up is? I wished I could hear info like that when we’re in the car traveling and then you come to a screeching halt.

Your CB radio has a switch to turn it into a PA but the external speaker usually hooked up to these radios are very small. Not like the ice cream man coming down the street that you can hear from 2 blocks away. If the car next to you had his windows up and a/c on he probably couldn’t hear you.

MM, if you get the full range of Liberty noise toys you will have the train whistle to play with when you are bored and running parallel to a train out west and there is nobody but you and 300 RR cars.
Then you will have the 100 song musical selector with “On The Road Again” in the number one spot. That is used to irritate everyone in an RV park because they know you are showing off. Especially annoying when you depart at 5:00 AM. I reserve my music playing for when I am parked next to Gil.
Along with that will be the standard police siren which includes the “yelp”, siren, and wail, all very capable of getting attention. Combine that with the standard police PA system and you can probably give the moron in the fast lane driving at 62.5 MPH a scare along with verbal commands to pull over.
All completely unnecessary because your new Liberty will get all the attention you can stand.

I am appauled that Liberty Coach makes all these illegal devices readily available to it’s owners.

Honestly, I wouldn’t use them that much, just curious to what others have done. I’ve never heard another coach use those features while at a RV park.
Jon, I don’t think we have the music option…. never heard it mentioned. And, I certainly wouldn’t want to scare anyone with the train whistle although I think it would fun to have. It sounds like the Petticoat Junction train! LOL!

This is the stupidist bunch of stuff and it is time that Liberty re visits these products and decides that these do not have anything to do with a superior coach,if I was building a new coach I would demand that not only do they not delete this bunch of s.it and that the wiring is also deleted from the bus and the price is reduced as well.

MM we have a 5 trumpet train whistle mounted behind the front bumper. It was so loud that our dog Maddie nearly had a heart attack when I used it.
Then I received a little guidance from Mary Ellen. It was not good. The CB is helpful getting the scoop from the truckers due to wrecks on the highway.
FWIW…. less attention the better when you travel.

My partner in crime is not on board with the train whistle so I under-play it. I don’t want to strip the coach or I would just buy a Marathon…. jus kid’n, LOL, they are loaded up too.

I will defer to others on trains whistles and the like… but if I ever buy a new bus…. one of my must haves will be driver and passenger seats with 3 point seat belts…. I can not for the life of me understand why we don’t have them already… So Mark start a trend… insist that Liberty figure it out.

I just played with all of these things on the trip from which I just returned. The siren seemed to quiet a trucker rolling by with his horn blaring. The PA I did when no one could hear, and I am still trying to come up with a good use for it. The CB may actually have been the cause of my GPS and dash cam not getting enough power, and I didn’t make out a single word anyone said. I didn’t play the musical horn this time, and usually don’t because the songs are too long and the best time to do it is when you are leaving, when my attention is usually focused on not clipping the curve. I like #27, Dixie.
Placement of these items is a pain in the leg, as I struggle for enough room anyway. In this age of cell phones, if I had to make a choice between what I want (just because everyone else has one) and what I need, I wouldn’t get them installed. If I did, I would try to have them installed behind the seat with some sort of remote controls.
Speaking of seats, I think they already are using the Knoedler Air Chief for the driver on the new buses. If not, I suggest you STRONGLY consider one, as they beat the pants off of the old ISRI I used to have. I drove 8 hours the other day and felt pretty good when I arrived.

I benefitted twice on this weekend’s trip from the CB, one alerting to a fatal accident ahead, one alerting to a 4 mile slowdown due to single lane through construction.
I am sure not having the CB wouldn’t have mattered much, but having prior knowledge of a situation greatly reduces the chances of unexpected panic stops and offers an opportunity to consider if an alternate route is available. My GPS has traffic alerts and in both instances offered no warning, but the CB did as well as progress reports.

Karl, I pulled the build sheet and this is what is listed for the driver’s seat…
“Knoelder air-ride custom upholstered leather and contrast insert driver’s seat with electric base, heat, cooling and massage”.
Actually, I ordered the seat to be all one color with contrast stitching.
Also, the CB is located to the right of the driver’s seat at the floor. You have to lift a lid to get to the unit. It seems like everything is placed conveniently.

Siren is good for getting deer off road , just drove from seatle to Banff Alta saw 8 black bears on road four grizzly bears one moose and 150 deer
