What is a reasonable thickness for shelveing? 3/8″ enough? 1/2″ more than is really necessary? Having never used it, I don’t have a feel for how strong it is. I’m planning on putting two pieces UniStrut (essentially channel iron) under the Starboard to support it about a third of the way in from each side.
BillS: Where do you normally buy it from? Cutting a 4×8 sheet into four pieces for easy shipping makes sense. Because of the size of the tag bay and I expect to put in there I don’t think the weight on an individual shelf will be huge. My vision is mostly hoses, belts, funnels, a couple of jugs of anti-freeze, oil, trans lube, some tools, and jumper cables.
Being a regular on the Garage Journal Forum I’ve learned that “it didn’t happen if there aren’t pictures”.

Pres,
I approved your map post for Catherine’s on 2/21. It has now been over written and I’m convinced you and Jon are in cahoots and conspiring to make me think I’m losing my marbles. You may be right, what the hell are we talking about?

You will have a tough time removing all the copper pipes and yes some are used for heating. I had a GMC PD4107 the AC system was shot so I removed the Compressor and didn’t touch the copper lines (actually used some as wire AC. Used the Compressor compartment to relocate the batteries.

My numbers are after the coach was zeroed out up to new standards, just wear items no fuel in that number ,
Even if the number was one dollar a mile it would still be not that much!!!!!!!! -
Jimmie, the wine coolers/refrigerators were EdgeStar (thats what the logos are).
Mark, The VW wagon with all the doors was a taxi according to the info sheet on the windshield. Calleld it a 13 window VW I think.

One would think that this problem doesn’t only affect motorhome chassis, but would also effect seated as well as entertainer chassis. How are those industries dealing with the potential issue? Would contacting some of the seated carriers as well as entertainer coach companies and get their input and expereince as they are putting many more miles on their coaches then motorhome owners are.

Maybe something has changed with the NAPA-AITA program. I’ll make some calls.

Those sliding glass, patio door really set it apart from almost everything you’ll see in a campground today. Is the bottom of those door the right height to push a picnic table up against?
I wonder if it has holding tanks waste water or does it work like the old rail road cars I rode in as a very young child in Canada on the Algoma Central Railroad north of Sioux Saint Marie.

Hi Dan. It was good meeting you there. Say hi to Barb for me, I’m sure she misses me! 😉
I could have been out nearly that quickly, but Knoedler screwed the pooch on getting me my parts, so I’ll drive up again for the seminar and cancel a trip this month….c’est la vie.

I have if the hole is accessible without pulling the slide patched a seal with a tire patch….tried a couple of times. Some stick and some haven’t. Usually only try this if I’m on the road to try and buy some time before it gets replaced.

I have zero knowledge of how Marathon sets up their generators but if it is consuming coolant it is either a leak you will see evidence of or it could be signs of an engine issue like a bad head gasket or a cracked head.
Look to see if the generator crankcase oil is clean or milky. Milky is bad.

Same thing happed to me yesterday. I pulled all the start batteries (4, six volt) and load tested them one by one. The last one (of course) indicated ~6 volts on the meter but as soon as I hit the load tester it died. I replaced all four – good as new. You can get an inexpenive load tester at just about any auto parts store. I keep one on the bus.
