If you open your mail we could chat privately.

Thanks axle is at the machine shop…we shall see how this well oiled plan works !

The reason the outer axle flange gets bent is someone uses the three threaded holes in the flange to push the axle out. That is their intended purpose, but the problem is if all three don’t have a bolt threaded into them, and each bolt in succession is turned just a little at a time, all the force is appled to one side and the axle flange gets bent.
When you were talking about a hub seal I thought you were talking about the one on the rear of the hub.
That axle is ruined and it needs a repair or a replacement. As long as the flange is bent you can tighten it until the bovines arrive back to the house and it will still leak, but worse it is applying unequal forces to the axle shaft when it is tightened. I suspect the H3 axle is the same. Easy to check if you bring the bent one with you.

One of the reasons we went with the Angola (even knowing they were basically out of business) was that it was a more basic conversion .. the theory was more basic == less hassle and breakage. This seems to be olding true as what few repairs we’ve had to do have been more or less simple things and just taken a little time and sometimes knowledge.. Yeah she doesn’t have slides, doesn’t have fancy controls for anything but an average of 20k driving a year and only a few normal wear and tear breakage points in the house speaks volumes.
On the other hand, my battles with air-leaks continue .. but thats not really a converter issue but a bus-age issue

Where are you guys mounting the camera? If up high near the center post, that is out of reach of the wiper. Do you keep that area of the windshiled coated with Rainex so the picture is clearer? Is is better not to have the constant back and forth of the wiper in view? It seems to me it would be.

John,
Your Comfort Control Center controls three zones and each zone can be set to it’s own mode (Fan, Cool, Furnace, Heat) independantly. A temperature setting must also be chosen. Fan speed can have up to three choices depending upon the mode selected.
If all three zones are set to Cool, fan set to auto, and the temperature is set to 78º, the roof airs should not come on until it is above 78º in that zone inside the coach.
The problems I can throw out to you are: your selected temperature may be too low, one of the zones may be set to Heat, the Comfort Control Center is not working correctly, a temperature probe is bad, or a control board on one of the roof airs is not working correctly. I experienced a bad control board on my bedroom roof air this summer and had all kinds of wierd stuff happen before it was correctly diagnosed. Replaced the roof air and all was solved.

You are going to an excessive amount of work to test the CAC. Just squirt it with soapy water as Al suggested. There is a specific leak down rate specified in the Prevost manual but the reality is if you blow big bubbles or if you cannot get the required boost you have a pretty good idea already.
I don’t think anyone with a non-egr engine has reported a CAC failure.

Thanks Charles, will give it a try.

Yeah, that’s the question. We have had St. Farm auto/home insurance for over 30 yrs and just assume we will use them, but ageed value sounds like what we would want to do. How does that work? If we crash it and total it, does it mean we get what ever we agree’d on? (with the required premium of course)? If so, any ideas on how much that would cost per year on an agreed value of 150K?
Since we will no longer have a real home, what insurance (liability, NOT driving) should we consider to keep us from losing it if somebody falls on our steps, maybe? then we talk about comprehensive? pricy?
Ok, thanks!
