Just asking
On two occassions I have entered information for the PC Users map.
I have followed these with emails as well…..
Neither of the recommendations for the map have been added and I did not receive any correspondences back regarding them. .
What is the process? I entered the latitude / longitude, names, addresses, etc., and I know these places to be excellent…..
Are the additions still requested and reviewed ….or could the map simply be out of date as to new recommendations?

Whenever a map item is added we get an email via the admin email. Tom and I are both in admin functions daily so the email is our alert to look up map additions and approve them. I don’t think either of us goes there unless we get the email.
I cannot think of a single map additon that I have not approved and Tom likely can say the same thing so if what you added has not shown up as an email or has not appeared on the maps it means we haven’t seen them. Can you do one and post that it was added. I want to verify the email function is giving me the alert, and then I want to go see and approve the addition.

For the record, I just went to the “add map item” and filled out all of the information requested.
This is exactly what I did a month ago… not complaining…..just giving the information…
It is for Catherine’s Landing… Hot Springs, AR… great place.
Let’s see if it works.

Pres, I just approved it as “Admin”.
I got the email and it took less than 15 seconds from when I opened the email.
I have no idea why your previous ones were not approved unless Tom and I were sequestered while we were counting dues money.

I approved your map post for Catherine’s on 2/21. It has now been over written and I’m convinced you and Jon are in cahoots and conspiring to make me think I’m losing my marbles. You may be right, what the hell are we talking about?

In defense of Tom, when Pres posted his problem I did not go back to see if the map items he previously added had been approved. So if in fact they had already been approved Tom or I was doing our job, but why Pres did not realize they were approved or see them is beyond my pay grade.

When I went to the map… I clicked on each icon in Arkansas and Catherine’s landing did not come up…I did it five times…
I could have had thick thumbs but I do not think so… my geography might have been off… you think?
If I did not hit the correct icon, I am apologetic… I should have recognized and anticipated Genius in action…
I also probably should have my dues doubled in pentance.

Don’t sweat it. Most of the time we have no clue what we are doing, and when we answer questions we usually just make stuff up.

Okay, so guess I’m a little color blind 🙂 Thanks Tom… I see it now. It only shows up on the “main” forum page and I was always focusing on the category listings and so never paid attention to the red buttons.

We started of with smaller buttons and when that did not work we made them bigger. Then when that did not work we made it the brightest red we could find.
Here’s what we hope will happen. Everybody gets bored, and when they do go to the site and click on all the buttons, open all the pages, peek in all the corners and see what we have on the site. If everyone does that we won’t need neon flashing signs for the discount programs or any of the other features.
