Your culprit maybe the Fan/Rheostat Control Box……this is a very rare part. Once you turn dash air rocker switch on you should have two switches nearby one that controls heat and cool and one that controls fan speed. If this box is bad you will have one speed and maybe no control. When mine went bad i kept the old core. I found this box…my bus not yours… forward of the PAX Entry door behind the Marathon installed Deco Panel. You can find this part in Prevost parts online diagrams and in your wiring diagrams. If Prevost rewired your dash air I would ask them for the wiring diagram without it …. no help……

    Jon:

Would setting the inverter to 50 Amp fix that possible issue. I ask this question owning a Featherlite where everything is run through the inverters unless you manually switch the rotary switch specifically to shore or gen instead of normal position.

bad rear/front start switch on side of rear junction box–get old and corroded. Just another to add to list. wire number 439 should have 12V to it when front switch is on. tatooed on side of wire about every 6 inches..

My Generator is in the second bay. The radiator is mounted in the middle in front of the aux fuel tank. It is accessed by a panel in the rear wall of the first bay.

The squirrel cage fan is direct drive AC motor. There is not a belt.

Air flow is thru slots in the bay door, thru the generator bay (to provide fresh air to the Yanmar), pulled thru the fan, across the radiator and out the bottom of the bay.

    Marshall,

You need to learn more about the difference in the 2 and you wouldn’t say that.

On a side note today my friend bought 1250 from Marathon and his neighbor has a Winnebago on order, sorry Newmar. No finish dates can be projected because there is a shortage of Onan 12.5 Generators.

Just a thought of what Liberty’s gonna do since they started installing those 12.5 Onan powerhouses in their new buses.

good job and good thinking, I just had mine fail which I had to take apart and repair so I ordered 2 for spares immediately after. I am also admiring your carbon fiber panel. Make me think about changing mine out. 🤔

Nope, its normal to be lit when lights are on. I found it a bit annoying driving in the rain or snow at night. So covered it up, to stop reflection on window

We have been thru northeastern NM five times since this china flu mess started. We only stop at one rest area on US hwy 87/64 when passing thru. We never have the need to overnite. We haven’t had a problem.

Dick, Thanks for all the information! Yes, I posted on both places, not knowing the crossover.

Anyway, Had my “ah-ha” moment this morning and found the issue. It indeed was cut wires. One thing I had not considered is I did an oil and air filter change on the generator after we got back. In this configuration, unknown to me, they ran those two wires through that bay (1 1/2 away from the lights) across the top of the generator. Well, when sliding it back in, apparently the wire had dropped from the ceiling, gotten stuck and pulled apart at two connectors. To find it, I toned the hot wires and they were not getting to the breaker. Then I opened all of the bays and started toning any visible wires.

This morning I pulled the genset way out to get to them and have them back together. All is working.

Now on to improving the markers themselves and getting the safety inspection.

    Thanks for everyone responding.
