Jon, wanna trade? We have that fuel system and mileage, and I know a guy in Evansville Indiana that will put slides in it for you.

    Mark,

I just wanted to clarify that you can get a vavle adjustment on your H3 for around $800? Can your shop do it without removing the engine or the bedroom floor? My 03 Marathon H3 is past due and am trying to find some

place that will do it without tearing the coach apart or pulling the engine. I keep getting different stories.

Prevost says take the bedroom apart to do it. Danny at American Fleet says the engine has to come part way out. 22hrs of work and $2500-$3000. For $800 to $1000 I’d drive up to your shop in a heartbeat!

    Thanks for the info.

Here is Prevost up grade which comes with dash control box.

Comes from dash air exchanger control box passenger side to mounting above drivers right leg.

These is probably the OEM sensor Marathon went looking for behind dash, note small size.

When Tad phoned me I became very interested in his conversation about using the OVR bus A/C duct work with cruise airs. Apparently someone or Marathon did it on his bus which when you think about it was very clever.

Glad to hear Prevost got this repaired for you. Thanks for the post.

I don’t know that I really figured it out – but, I did discover one of the levers seemed like a drag control. I started futzing with that and was able to get it to where it didn’t bottom out anymore. It’s the lever that has a shock absorber on it. I pushed it down partially and it “tightened up the system” and added more dampening. Try it out. It’s the 2nd from the front in the photo above.

Don’t know if this goes to all or not. Have checked my 30 amp plugs and they are correct. Also checked the cord and it seems to be right.Have not had the opportunity to plug it in elsewhere. Read somewhere online there might be a bad ground wire. 3 flat screen TV’s, all work fine. Full size side by side fridge, works find. But plugged into 30A plug I get that message. Stumped.

Jon, simply put, Dave and I do not like to let our grey water go on the ground. In many situations it’s not legal and almost all situations not polite. Therefore we hold our grey water. But when we get into a situation that we didn’t plan on and have a full grey tank with nowhere to dump it can be very beneficial to dump our grey tank. If you got into a situation where your tank was full and needed to dump where there wasn’t a sewer connection you would have a very smelly mess on your hands. I can guarantee if you open your single tank dump valve without a hose attached you’ll be cleaning up a lot more than just rose petals.

Again, both setups are neither better or inferior than the other. Just something to consider for those in the market for a coach with regards to how they plan on using it.

The guy that owns Tyron is a good friend of mine and I feel sure that I could get him to do an installation demo at a rally. This a very good product and it does exactly what the video demonstrates. We’re putting it on my coach just as soon as we can get it scheduled. Probably during the first Motorcoach Show at Pelican Lake in January.

You would think a guy that has a butt toughened up by horseback riding wouldn’t care about the seams or the thickness of the cushion.

    But(t) I could be wrong.

I am not even going to begin trying to figure out how Mark’s hind quarters became so sensitive.

Generally a good upholsterer can create the seat characteristics you like. I have watched custom seats for plane interiors being built and the real key to their comfort was what was under the leather.

I saw the same thing when the sofas were reupholstered in our previous coach. We sat on the mockup as various foams with different characteristics were applied and found it is not as simple as just picking a single foam hardness. Numerous foams with different qualities were used in different areas. I suspect the seats that need improvement just are going to require an upholsterer to stip it down, test various foams in different areas of the seat until the right combination is determined, and then reapply the leather cover.

I think just ordering a seat and hoping it is more comfortable is a risk. What works for one person may not be acceptable to others.

T&C, On Vantares of a certain vintage. the H’s with OTR they were equipped with bsmt air and 2 cruise air’s. Later H’s without OTR came with 4 cruise air’.s. Vantare XL’s seem to mostly have come with 4 roof air’s. Vantare stopped at a certain point on the H’s with OTR. The cooling on our previous 45′ XL with roof air’s and our present H with bsmt and 2 cruise air’s seems equal with the difference being the present set up is much quieter. Geo.
