I noticed a white light come on close to my gear seletor that says DECEL – I’ve never seen this light come on? What is it’s function?

    1994 Liberty XL – 8V92TA

    Thanks

It’s part of the cruise control. It’s a momentary switch that disengages the cruise control temporarily while pressed.

I wasn’t able to press it – seems like it is in a fixed position

The button functions properly – cruise control works fine – however the light on the DECEL button stays on constantly when driving

Warning that future gremlins have invaded?

That may be lighting up your brake lights as well.

Nope, its normal to be lit when lights are on. I found it a bit annoying driving in the rain or snow at night. So covered it up, to stop reflection on window

we used to cover non-critical faulty gauges on the Cessna with a post-it note so I wouldn’t be staring at it during flight. Guess I can do the same here!
