I agree Jon while we try to have a trouble free coach some things your can not for see, I carry most sensors as spares , and spare belts and fuel filters with a can of spare fuel to fill filter with , but you can not carry everything that’s why I have your number, Toms , and Jeff’s and Prevosts , just in case of trouble at least I can bitch to somebody about the problem on the road . I also carry fuses, 24 volt relays and a bottle of Crown Royale in case of a overnight stay !!!! LoL!!

Robert,
I am not sure of which specific model you are talking about but our coach has 2 Bose media centers. I would have to look up their number, but I think it is 48AV.
One is for the front, one for the rear. They are the size of an attache case, but they handle our entire AV system.
Each unit will function as a DVD player through the TV. Or play CDs, or use as a radio tuner, or handle the sound through the TV to the various Bose speakers, or play music from the stored library. I have loaded at least 100 CDs in each and there is plenty of room for more. I don’t know how many hours of music that is, but I have been told the capacity is in the 3000 song range. We play them at random while underway and love it. If we are not playing our stored music, we are playing the XM/Sirius music coming via satellite through our TV. For one little box it does it all.
I used to carry hundreds of CDs. but now they are loaded into the Bose units so we only have to take up the space the Bose occupies., I rarely use the dash radio because of the Bose.

Jon,
In another life I had a CDL-A when I drove a truck for 7-up……I understand how the systems work on a semi-truck and did hundreds of pre-delivery inspections before going on the road. Remember on a truck you have air for the brakes, the drivers seat and the trailer…that’s about it.
That being said, my questions don’t arise when the coach is moving but when it is sitting still. Since the front and rear brake guages are always at 120 and the aux bounces a bit I don’t think there is any real issues with the air system. I’ve replaced ALL the major air components and have had it at Prevost twice and Jeff’s once looking for any potential leaks…..each time one or two “suspect” valves have been replaced but no major leaks found. Since the coach “kneels” in the front after 3-5 days of being parked I’m losing air somewhere. If I keep the leveling system on, the coach will stay level for extended periods. While in Florida last year I only tweaked the level once in 2 months.
When I picked up the coach from Legacy last year Brandon told me to put the coach in “level low” mode prior to leveling the coach. In reading my HWH manual, it doesn’t say anything about putting it in level low at any time before, during or after the coach is leveled so I question wether that is the correct procedure. I’ve done it both ways…put it in level low and not putting it in level low. I know all the coaches are different but how do you guys do it when leveling. I opted to follow the HWH manual which is pretty simple.

I took all four batteries to NAPA and two tested completely bad. The other two tested good although he said one of them was only good and the other was very good. NAPA recommended buying just two.
The decision I need to make is do I replace all four or just two? If I replace only two am I risking having to take everything apart again in the next 2 years and then have two used ones and two new ones again? Probably. If I bite the bullet now and by four I am starting fresh and “should” be OK for 4-5 years. Pay now or pay later. Any opinions?
The $98 batteries they stock have 1140 cranking amps and 950 cold. That is 50 less cold cranking amps than the current batteries but the same cranking amps.
I ordered a 24v “smart” charger that I will wire in. I will have to finagle a way to mount it. It should be here Thursday. I have to install it before the batteries so I will try to button everything up Friday morning. I also need to clean the tray area. That gives me a couple of days to decide what to do as far as batteries. I value your opinions.Davy

I don’t think Jim was upset, just wanted to no what product made the fix. Many times people post about a fix and the end of the story is “we fix it and all is well”. No how or what or cost. That the way I read Jim’s comment.

Two slides in the living area and a slide in the bedroom would be a good floor plan from my point of view. We had a class A with that configuration and it worked well.

CW fan is only $207 new. Is the least expensive of solutions. Before getting it I will ck to see if box is able to be rotated. Still new siding to be installed and several other details to finish. –Guess what I’m saying is I have a little time to make the best decision. Nice to have a runnin coach even if fan is going wrong way..A little embarased about this–It was a definite surprise! It will be correct before maiden voyage.. Bob
