  • Prevost Community Status Report

Posted by needtocamp on April 6, 2015 at 5:37 am

I have been up since 4:00 AM because the dogs decided I should be up. No sense going back to bed because I have a doctor’s appointment very early this morning so I put on my Admin hat and started poking around while Tom slept dreaming of his new 4 slide coach.

As of today we are at 1871 members, all dues paying of course. No free rides here.

PC has been alive on line for three years and three months so our growth in members and activity is nothing short of amazing considering the limited number of Prevost conversions out on the roads. If anyone knows how many are licensed and still being used please let us know.

As of when this is being written our members have posted 35,092 times to the forum. We are not a shy bunch, and we are certrainly willing to ask questions and offer advice and opinions. Some of what we all say on the forum may actually be true.

We have 3941 threads so it appears we have a lot of topics we discuss. I think most of the threads relate to what Tom’s next coach will be or they will be from members who want to know how to post a photo.

A total of 122 articles have been posted so our “library” includes a lot of very good information to help all Prevost owners and enthusiasts.

Our map had a slow start but thanks to you we now have 192 items flagged on our map.

From our statistics report it is clear we have an extremely busy site. Every day on average we have almost 1,000 unique visitors. It is not a surprise that the most active time of the day is from 7:00 PM through 10:00 PM, with very little activity around 4:00 AM. Must be most member’s dogs are sleeping like they should at that time except for two dogs that I know of.

Apple must be doing something right because of the activity on the site Microsoft and Apple are very close to one another in a list of operating systems and their activity. Despite the issues we have with some browsers Safari is the one most often used, followed by Chrome.

That’s the report card for today.

There are not enough back slaps, high fives or accolades to describe what you and Tom have managed to put together in a very short period of time. PC is by far the unparallelled resource for any Prevost owner and worth every penny. We all know (or should) what a labor of love this must have been for you guys. What an accomplishment ! We can’t wait to see everyone in Foley and Tom’s new bus of course. Geo.

Now I know why Tom is looking for a 4 slide New To Him bus.

    Lets see, 1871 X $1000 = $187,1000 X .50 = 93,5500 per Administrator.

After a couple of years he’ll have enough for a good down payment and maybe next year if they double the dues he can get it even quicker.

What is Jon going to do with his half ???????????

    I like your math Buddy.

I know exactly what I am going to do with my new found riches while Tom fritters his away on that new 4 slide H, I will be cornering the market on Lennon Sisters 8 track and cassette tapes. I see a big future in resale of those tapes.

My only question is how come anytime I review the financials I never see any dues shown on the sales side of the income statement?

I would look into your accountants background, something not right.

Uh, oh. Tom is our accountant.

Greg, you may be on to something. I wondered how he planned on buying that 4 slide coach for Nancy.

The businesses I had didn’t have an income side either, welcome to the crowd.

Congrads Jon and Tom…..I have pretty much been involved from the beginning and not in my wildest dream did we ever predict 1800 members, 1000 visitors a day..WOW

Remember Jon -Tom all the phone calls and “what if” conversations putting the NAPA program onto site. Getting that approved at NAPA headquarters was amazing. Little did we know how important that would be to give PC a creditable life on a Prevost web site. It was the start of things to come.

Another great idea is the Rally, No Rally concept. It seems to be gaining in popularity without paying big bucks for a short time Prevost get together.

Enough back slapping for the time being….my dues are surely going up now.

    Thanks for all you do.

    Dean:

Congrats to you both on the new coach as will miss you in the Liberty family but understand the need for those slides. With your bulldog, he needs more room. Hope to make it to Hearthside one day!!!

    Safe Travels,

Jon and Tom, My sincere Thanks for all you do and the help you offer to all of us! Great site, for me it’s Prevost for Dummies! Can’t put a price on the this type of Comradery …… Priceless! That may explain the short fall of dues!
