Front cap insulation?
After many hours of staring at the console/cabinets above my windshield, trying to decide how to modify that area since I removed a bunch of stuff, I decided to start from scratch. That’s bold, considering my lack of carpentry experience. I removed a Cruisair evaporator, and a previous owner removed the original 1984 television, so the whole arrangement was much bigger than it needs to be. Since it really limits the headroom at the front of the bus, I figured I’d tackle the project.
I finished the demolition phase today and discovered that there is very little insulation up there. The roof area has fiberglass batt insulation, but the fiberglass panels where the upper windshields would go were completely uninsulated behind the cabinetry. I doubt Liberty Coach does many things without a good reason, but it seems like some insulation there would be a good idea. I would appreciate your thoughts.
