I realized the response that I had posted was going way off topic. And, responding to a guy driving a 15 yr. old coach criticizing my tow vehicle would be like conversing with Helen Keller.
I’ll just read and learn and try to stay on topic.

For a buyer of a new coach with prices likely north of $2 MM a $15,000 rental cost for a few days represents about 2 1/2 week’s worth of depreciation on that new coach so it would seem to be a great way to evaluate a coach.
But today’s coaches are so technically complex that all three day’s rental will do is forever confuse the renter.
The days of being able to find the key and drive off are gone. It took me the equivalent of a day to figure out the Crestron and I am still not able to say I have it mastered. With the audio visual stuff, the house heat and air systems, slides, leveling system, etc. it takes 3 days to explain the coach to someone who has never owned a late model Prevost.
Just my 2 cents.

Corey, I couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ve put on over 140,000 miles in the last 5 years in a Prevost and believe me once you get in the drivers seat them few bucks that you were talking about Mark are peanuts!!! There’s nothing that drives as good as a Prevost!!

My memory says 7 gallons. Whatever the books say is not necessarily accurate because you cannot replace any more than you take out and some is retained, such as in the intercooler.
29503829 is the filter number I show from my records. That’s the Allison number and you need to really verify it because there are two lengths of filters and there are two levels of filtering if I recall.

You will have a tough time getting those fittings apart, some are impossible. I cut them out and used Shark Bites along with Pex tubing. I couldn’t get any of mine apart.

My 2002 has what Country Coach refers to as the ECC board in the first bay. I have verified all fuses ( in the board they are all the automotive blade type ) are good? Are the receiver/control boards you refer to a part of the remote receiver ? On my coach this is located in the front dash wall. I haven’t been in behind the “eye” yet but that is on my to do list. Your explanation of the windows was very helpful and I believe spot on. Wish those cranks were still there. I have learned from CC the power is thru what they refer to as the 12 volt LON distribution box. Problem being no one still there knows what LON stands for or where it is located. The Tech at CC I have spoken to is being very helpful but is hampered because of the volume of materials destroyed by the bankruptcy trustee and a lack of good organization with the documents the current CC has recovered. The pronto seems in order and is charged. Thanks again for your insight and explanations, they are very helpful.

As to the issues of truck drivers throwing piss bottles everywhere, we even had some that thought they should just toss them out in our yard when they got in. Too lazy to put it in the dumpster even. I caught one guy doing it and made him clean out the entire yard before we let him leave. The amount of bottles being dumped was reduced to almost zero shortly after. I guess he must have told everyone about his garbage duties….I don’t think he liked it.

FWIW, the Marathon salesman told me that the longer wheelbase of the X3 was no problem because “entertainers have been using them for years going everywhere”. Hmm. How can you tell when a salesman is lying?

Terry I have had to replace 3 of them, same situation as you low limbs, Since I live on the Blue Ridge Pky tthey do not trim anything and will arrest you if they catch you doing it, There is only about 2-300′ that I have a problem with, so I took matters into my on hands, The night crew has done a good job cutting those low overhanging limbs! Gary

Congratulations!
We retired, sold the house and went full-time in the coach in 2002. After 9 years, we reluctantly put the bus up for sale and bought a house. It was an extraordinary adventure and the experience of a lifetime.
We have travelled the country, fostered some great friendships, and made memories too many to mention.
You are in for quite a time!!
