schematic
In need of schematics for 1983 Prevost, Liberty conversion. Need to replace “Cutler Hammer 10-1015-4” . Cannot find a replacement for this. This is in a junction box before starting the generator.

What you describe is not a Prevost item, but was installed by Liberty.
It is possible that even if that specific device (relay?) is not available there are alternatives that will function the same. I would suggest you bring it to a large electrical supply house or maybe WW Grainger and see if they can help.
You might have to change fittings or terminals or drill some new mounting holes but you should have no problems finding something that will work.

Jon, I have tried endless companies on the internet, Eaton, onlinecomponets, relectric,summit electronics, accordtech, unlimited micro,plus many more. Even Liberty has reached a dead end. It seems my only hope is maybe someone has a system like mine and would possibly have the schematics.

I still say look for a 10A class 10 thermal relay.
This was a pain to track down, but thankfully it is used by the military so I found some alternative part numbers. These were used by Onan, so a call to them might get you what you want. You might want to also call who ever made your generator for whatever they replaced it with.

You can google their therory of operation, if you want. Some generator owners claim to have just installed a 10A fuse, although that wouldn’t provide any thermal protection beyond that necessary to blow the fuse.
