See my post above or go to Bus Conversion magazine web site for a whole series of my articles that detail how to properly do what you want to do. You need to provide charging from the engine alternator, from shore power, from gen power or (optionally) from solar all without user intervention. You also need to make sure Li and LA batteries never get connected together as the higher voltage of the Li batteries could send a dangerous current surge into the LA batteries if they do. Watch especially “boost” circuits designed to connect your house to the gen starting battery on some implementations. This is a long way from the “drop in replacement” task you might have been lead to believe. Proceed carefully!

Since Jon & Tom sold? disappeared this forum has been quiet:(
This is still my favorite place to post info.
Various Prevost FB sites are much more active, with opinions:( and few facts.

What’s wrong with you driving up there? If I plan to spend that kind of money I am going to crawl through that thing in person! I will also likely hire a professional to go through this coach in more detail than I can.

On my 2008 Legendary with two Trace Sw4024 inverters, I had only one occasion where the display for an inverter froze. I unplugged it and waited a couple of minutes and plugged it back in and it started working and never did it again. Maybe give that a try??

I recently bought the rebuild kits for 2-way and 3-way. It took a couple weeks to get them for Norgren (I think they were on back order). So far I have rebuilt 1 2-way. I popped the end off, blew air in it, the flushed it with wd40, the blew it with air again, then stuffed a shop towel in all the places I could get it into, the popped in the new valve thingy.
If the valve still works, then you probably have nothing to worry about. Maybe Norgren can let you know what kind of lube that is. If I had to guess, it’s something like lithium grease, but please don’t take my word for it.

How did this end up in the Aviation category?

I will take a picture next time I’m at the bus. Mine is an H though

INTERESTING! Thank you. Pretty sure nothing was replaced at the time of my top end adjustment. Do you have any idea of engine numbers or years affected?

I think a call to Gina Leeper, head of the fuel program at TSD, would yield an answer as to the need of an upgrade to the limit with prices like they are. Her office number is 800/426-7110

MemberSeptember 14, 2021 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Monthly runtime to keep systems happy?Hi Chuck,
This is my shut down process when I leave the bus.
All circuit breakers on the electrical panel are switched to off.
Ensure Aqua hot is turned off.
Turn off both Trace inverters.
Lower all blinds.
Turn off 12V switch.
Prop open refrigerator and ice maker.
Exit and lock front door.
Turn off rocker switch and a slide switch located in rear engine compartment
Turn off both inverter breakers 24Volt.
Ensure all bays are locked.
When I arrive back to the bus and turn on the inverters, I check the level via the inverter panel “menu 4”. The batteries read from 24.2 to 24.6, which the chart I have states 60%, so there still is drainage even though the bus in completely shut down.
Thanks,
