  • Should we talk about the elephant?

Posted by Chuck & Katrina on May 1, 2022 at 12:00 am

My neighbor with a SOB said TSD just limited him to $400 or 75 gal.
That’s a 1/4 of a tank in a Prevost. Anyone else heard of this?

I’ve filled up twice at 150+ gallons each time. No issues here.

No issues… Just returned from Arizona trip and pumped nearly $900 at two different locations. Even called them in advance to inquire if any limits have been imposed and as of 30 or so days ago, they stated no policy changes…

Chuck – I checked the TSD website and in the FAQ section it states $1,0000 per day limit

$1,000 limit per day? Might need an inflation adjustment

    $1,000 / $6.25 per gallon = 160 gallons fuel

End of May will be going from NC to RI and back in 10 days. Usually do that trip with a fuel stop in Raphine VA and Southington CT. If i started early AM with a half tank or less and my co-pilot drove we could hit that limit.

For good or bad she don’t drive the bus so we will spend the night somewhere in PA.

200 gallons per day or $10000

Do you guys actually Burn $1,0000 of fuel a day traveling in your Busses? Seems Like 1K per day should be plenty?

I think a call to Gina Leeper, head of the fuel program at TSD, would yield an answer as to the need of an upgrade to the limit with prices like they are. Her office number is 800/426-7110

I get an emailed receipt within a few minutes I see the charge in the app. Receipt emailed a business day or two later.

    Edit for clarity, sorry

Fueled up on Sunday and had the e-mail statement on Monday. The next day it came out of my checking account. Money has yet to be debited from my account (Tuesday AM).

It seems there is no “standard” time frame to receive an account posting of cost of last use. I thought 5 days was a bit long and that is why I posted the question. I don’t use the card as frequently as Some so I thought maybe I screwed up the process.

    thanks

I think it varies. Sometimes I get the statement within a few minutes. Sometimes I get the statement the next day. Either way, I’m happy with the money savings.

I found this article today about the possibility of limiting diesel fuel on the East Coast this summer. Thought the group might be interested.
