To pile on some more, if in fact recharging can be done by towing there are going to be a lot of folks who think recharging by towing is free.

Those folks need to understand the added drag imposed is going to impact the RV MPG, but then again they might be the same folks who run their A/Cs through inverters going down the road because they think if they do not use their generator for that purpose they are saving fuel.

What the hell. Ill pile on. Ford is working on a on an EV that can be charged via the regenerative braking by flat towing it. The target market is towed vehicles for Rv’ers It seems that in every one of these schemes a fossil fuel device is required.

Webasto recommends a 10 micron. For perspective 10 micron filtration removes particulates down to ~004″. I am not sure the nozzle orifice size but even if it was 040″ (~sheet of paper) that is 10X larger than the filtration spec. Lower micron numbers put more stress on the pump mechanisms.

I also learned that Webasto sells the replacements circulation pumps for a lot less that the online Webasto service folks charge. They are widely used in school bus applications. My guess is the online Webasto service folks simply buy them from Webasto, mark them up and resell them to unsuspecting customers like me.

I’ve been on this Forum for close to eleven years, going on nine years of Prevost ownership with a Series 60 (98 shell). The two incidents of roller rockers mentioned in this thread are the first two problem incidents that I can remember being barfed up. Certainly not a pleasant problem to have, but apparently not a prevalent problem.

I’m surprised that a ceramic roller is used. I’m certainly not an engineer, but I would think that the proper steel roller would be preferred. But I’d think that the Detroit engineers had a reason. I wish that someone from one of the top Detroit rebuild shops or someone in Series 60 service from Detroit were on the Forum and would comment.

Joe did you contact the shop that did your valve train/injector service about your problem? They have any thoughts?

132V is 120V plus 10%, just as 108 is -10%. That seems to me to be just a basic rule of thumb, not something specific to each load in the coach and what it can handle. I don’t like to let it go that far from nominal personally. I’d rather burn a couple gallons of fuel (if possible) than risk burning up something.

We have a friend with a track at the “end of the line” and the power company has struggled with getting him consistent voltage. With little load, the voltage can climb towards 130. With the track lights on and/or a bunch of guys running A/C, it draws it down. The power company can adjust it, I guess at the transformers.

I saw my chase cover removed a few years ago when we added some outlets to the top of the chase.

Can you put a screw in there without causing a problem? Maybe, possibly, probably … but not for sure.

I would loosen and remove the chase cover and figure out a way to be able to fasten whatever you want to fasten using the 3/4″ screw. Rivet Nuts, Tee-Nuts (pronged or smooth), or barrel nuts are options to create a threaded insert in the chase cover to fasten what you want to fasten to it.

I have a Nexiq reader (for all three buses with appropriate DDEC software) and my analog gauge shows a little south of 50 PSI, but the reader has shown 53 PSI on both my 12.7L and my 14L engines.

When we had the radiator in our coach recored a few years ago I wished I would have had the time and opportunity to polish the brass (?) tanks on either end. That would go well with the polished copper on our Liberty Coach.
