Tag Hub & Brake Preventative MX

Went to suck out and replenish the gear oil in the tag axle wet hubs and noticed a dirty black film on everything in the hub. (see 1st pic)

    So I:

Removed rt. rear tire/wheel, washed it inside & out
Disassembled/removed tag axle right rear hub, rotor, etc. Bearings were good.
Removed hub seal & installed new Scotseal SKF# 35066 (Prevost# 610870) with seal installation tool.
Cleaned & lubed slide pins, caliper bushings, and installed new o-rings on pins
Re-assembled everything and set bearing end play at 0.002”
    Lubed caliper
Installed new wet hub caps, Road King 343-4024 (Stemco is same part#, or Prevost# 611252)
With the axle level refilled hub w/Amsoil SVG 75w-90. It takes a few minutes for the the gear oil to flow thru out the hub.
    Test drove bus.
    All went good
I’ll to do the same to the left tag and the right steer soon. I did the left steer last April when the gear oil hub cap started leaking between the metal & plastic.
