That’s a nice looking coach at Olympia too. Wish someone would buy the house quick.

So, work gets in the way of my personal life a lot. It did today again, so I didn’t get a chance to call Rudy. I just got home (back to the coach), and I decided to try the “Diesel Heat Hot Water”. It comes on, I hear the motor or solenoids running, and it smokes like a pile of burning tires. I turned it back off to respect my neighbors.

For what it’s worth, the Gray Water Dump button on the internal panel isn’t functioning either, and it stopped when the hot water stopped.. There was a glitch when I plugged into shore power Tuesday night. Both inverters went into Error, and they wouldn’t turn off or reset until I turned the generator OFF. It had been on AUTO. The Gray Dump button in

the plumbing bay still functions. When it is engaged, the internal button
lights red, as it is supposed to.
    So,
that could just be a glitch I need to trace down after I solve the hot water
    issue.

Should I shut down everything on the coach in
the morning and power it all back up slowly and see what happens?

    Don,

Give serious consideration to all the hoses associated with the Webasto if you haven’t already. For some of the short odd 90 degree bends I went to a local parts store with the pieces I took out and just bought longer sections and cut what I needed out of them.

I believe on your vintage Liberty you have a pair of copper pipes going forward on the driver’s side frm the engine area. They each go through about 6″ of flexible hose just below the coach floor at the bulkhead in front of the drive axle. They may look good but change them. They are out of sight, out of mind and if you are on the road and cannot get at them if they fail you may have a problem. They can be shut off at the valve near the engine and I believe the valves in the vater bay going to the heat exchanger and the HW tank. I made it a practice to change them when I changed coolant so I did not have to drain anything just to change them.

    Dan,

Glad you were OK and limited damage. Back about 5 years ago Newmar had a bad batch of Hitches I forget the brand and several towds came completely off the RV as the safety chains were attached to the hitch.. In one case the story was the towd passed the RV on the shoulder or median.

Last Summer, talking to an RV resort owner off the Alaskian Highway.. some guy lost his jeep and couldnt find it. Road crew stumbled upon it 2 months later and he picked it up on his way out.

Bob, as far as I’m concerned it’s yours, unless Jeff has plans for it. I’m not sure it works, we just bought the coach in November and never used the icemaker. This spring I had a small leak in the fridge area and shut the water off to it, we’ll know more when we get the old girl out.

    Mike,

Were you there on Thursday for the weekly brunch including Eggs Benedict & Mimosa’s?

I was there on a Wednesday and got the big breakfast from Mickie Dee’s and had to buy. It was expensive because Josh had to have 3 and that only held him for a couple hours.

Probably wouldn’t be the case but had heater core leaking in truck and it had the same ID (sticky)until core let loose inside. It was antifreeze mist and bothered me for about 2 months off and on until she went.

We attempted to sale our Foretravel in 2009 and listed at http://www.rvtraderonline.com, http://www.rvt.com, and http://www.rvregistry.com. We had no problems with any of these sites and their listings.

Charles, Sounds good on the quota with Jeff on Reds’s coach.Thinking about redoing the flooring in my old coach and maybe just add a little to your ticket, when I do mine. We will just keep passing a little on to the next guy.

Here’s my contraption for airing-up the dual tires. Note the lock-on for the inner tire Schrader valve. It makes the process much easier!

The inflator control valve is an old unit from one of the Wanderlodges of past. The dial gauge is very accurate.

The lock-on valve and the dial gauge came from Amazon (if my memory is correct). The rest of the parts are from various old tire inflator units and Lowes for the brass joint.
