Check the battery voltage. Those two little alarm batteries don’t seem like enough to me, but I ended up replacing them twice.

Then, when that no longer worked I called Tech Support. They walked me through discovering that I had a bad mother board and how to get it replaced.

    Good luck!

We see about 25V after a night of boondocking just running the fridge, AV systems and lights. I run the generator two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening when I’m boondocking for extended periods. This has worked well for us.

I agree with Jon and Davy & George & Corey on this one… The Vantare is unique in its wiring… be very careful what you do.. It’s very easy to manage the power and has some advantages over other coaches if you learn how to manage your system which I suggest that you do.

Talk to Ben cummings from Coachworx he is your go to man on this and when you are ready for fresh batteries call Tom Chilcote (Truk4u) Trans Specialist… he will get you a good deal on batteries.

    Good luck !

Thanks Mark. It’s not a mass converter. It is Superior here in Nashville and they build specialty and mostly tour buses. Each is a little different so I was hoping for more general “check here this or that” guidance. It may not be possible. Thanks.

    Jon,

I think he means the auxiliary load circuit in Marathons. 120V loads are partitioned into Aux and Main.

There is a button & light in the bedroom panel to reset the Aux circuit after a problem (low battery etc).

Not only am I not going to need the Brinks truck in the procession, I want need the vault either cause as much as I have in my coach….they are going to bury me in it, maybe the toad too.

Gonna set me right there in the drivers seat with a full charge on my batteries so I can listen to Willie for a couple of days.

    Jon,

Go the Michelin RV tire web site and look at the RV tire guide. Sorry, can’t get the link to post. That describes situations were a tire may be over inflated for the weight carried due to the weight being carried by the tire on the opposite side of the axle. They say they have seen this to be as much as 1,200 pounds. So, over inflation is not only allowed, it may be required. Of course they never say to exceed the cold temperature pressure.

This same guide describes wear problems. It describes under inflation problems. It does not describe nor mention over inflation problems.

These tires aren’t like car tires whereby the contact surface is not significantly affected by tire pressure. From observation you will see that inflation affects the sidewall “crush” far more than tread contact.

Bill Jensen also emphasized that Michelin’s pressures are minimums during a seminar at Prevost Nashville.

Do you have a reference otherwise?

I’d love to find a decent hanger big enough for my bus. I’m also trying to get a Stearman project finished and will need a place for it as well when it’s done.

I have heard the wait at Deer Valley is about a year. The wait at Falcon is five years. There’s a hanger for sale at Sky Ranch in Carefree, but it’s a small T and they want $230,000 for it.

For now, my bus is at RV Hideway Storage on Cave Creek and 101. It’s covered and has power, but that’s about it. If you find someplace and are looking for a partner, let me know. I’d love to get it inside and have a place to park the Stearman.

Good question, I suspect my problem is the R-14 as well. My understanding is if you lift the tag axle and your brake tanks don’t leak down it points to the R-14.

    Jon?

    Jon…

Couldn’t get it to reset and a tech said it was bad… he swapped it with the grey tank sensor and then that one didn’t work? Hopefully he did it right?

    Thanks,

    Diane
