I have no experience with bordurcoach, but have seen several youtube videos where Andrew Steele interviews him.

Penmarallter Campground 218-834-4603. Lakehead Boat Basin in Duluth 218-722-1757 is another choice if you want to be right on the harbor and see the ships and lift bridge.

Make sure you discuss your a 45 footer at Penmaraliter.

At Lakehead Boat Basin—As Mark points out …boat, ship, lift bridge traffic is well worth the stay. I don’t know of any other place offering that kind of entertainment. Plan year ahead to get in.

I had the same issue come up on mine at about 300,000 miles. had an appointment to do an in-frame overhaul but my so decided she wanted a 45 footer.

I dumped in the radiator stop leak that looks like ground up aluminum powder and sold the coach as-is with full disclosure. Last time I spoke with the buyer, he had had engine tested but nobody could find a leak and he was approaching 500,000 miles.

What has worked is getting the rubber ducky antenna as far to the rear under the bus as possible. I did my Marathon that way and so has Jon and it was flawless. I first tried under the steering bay like you did and still had toad issues. Most are having success mounting the FX and Dipole antenna mid ship, but it’s trial and error.

This post makes me ask….Might anyone have a recommendation for a good hand operated vacuum for suctioning fluid out of reservoirs such as our power steering reservoirs?

Despite attempting repair, my near 20-year old pump no longer works well.

(The photo is similar to what I purchased years back)

    Hi,

We have coach 586 and get the same light at low RPM. It used to just happen with the generator on, but now happens with generator on or off.

Did you figure out what caused the light to come on?

John: Did you replace the capacitor as well? Any idea what the capacitor does? Does the voltage coming out of the voltage regular need to be “adjusted”? or is it OK as it comes from the vendor?

I have found a set of fake license plates works.

    I’m kidding.

If the bus has ez pass does the toad need it?

I’ll try to answer a few of these questions.

The engine was replaced due to throwing a rod. I know a few early60 series had a wrist pin problem but I can’t be sure that was the issue.

I believe this is coach 421 according to the VIN number.

Need politicians and BOD’s to stop allowing “off shoring” for corporate tax breaks (if any taxes); and provide a level playing field for domestic businesses…which for many Executives would adversely impact their compensation packages, stock options, etc.

As Jon said, hold foreign manufacturing to the same environmental impact regulations, pay scale and workman’s comp as companies are forced to abide by here in the states.

Unfortunately, that is about as likely to happen as the elimination of Super PAC’s (where even a local councilman can receive lucrative financing without having to account for a single dime…to say nothing of $ millions on a National scale); abolish lobbyist and riders to Bills in Congress.

Sadly, no one of authority is going to voluntarily relinquish these perks and incentives…since most have willingly sold their souls.

Short of another World War, not sure what could bring about so dramatic of a change? And, seems there will always be others waiting to take advantage once the dust settles. Particularly, other countries that think nothing of black marketing U.S. patented, copyrighted technology and products.

Jon and his daughter have a “business done right” model that encourages work ethic, efficiency by intelligent changes, selflessness for the betterment of peers/all, etc. A value system which built our great Nation and sadly seems to be slipping away as we lose human interaction.

Sorry, waxing nostalgic and thinking back on what sure seemed better days. Stepping down from the podium now. 🙂

Does the tag dump it’s air? On early years they had what was called tag logic, when aux air got low it dumped the tag. Don’t remember the low pressure number for this to happen, maybe in the 45 psi range. What year is your chassis?

Yes we have the Marinco connections on port and starboard sides, but it is so many extra steps to use it – get the cord out of a bay, plug it into connector, open/close port bay one to turn the switch to starboard feed, and the reverse when unhooking plus manually winding up a heavy cord, I find it easier to pass the reel cord under the bus.
