That’s right they only put em on H’s only until about 07, was supposed to help reduce dead batteries.

Take the chrome dome shaped axle/hub cover off and you’ll see 10 nuts holding the axle onto the floating/rotating axle hub. Take to 10 nuts off, break the sealant loose, and the axle slides right out with little if any interference. If it’s towed this way, your gonna lose a lot of gear oil and let debris in. Make and carry with you steel or wooden covers to minimize this.
The Prevost setup is different from my race cars (mine have Ford 9″ live axles) in the following ways:
1) Prevost has the wheel studs located in the floating/rotating hubs.
2) the Prevost axle bearings and inner oil seals are in floating/rotating hubs.
3) On the Prevost, the ends of the axle housing tubes are like spindles, machine so bearings and seals can ride on it. In addition, they’re hollow and the axles go thru to the carrier & gears.
4) The rotating hub assembly fits snuggly onto smooth machined surfaces on the outer end of each machined housing tube. The axles slide thru the bearings, the seal, the hollow housing tube ends, and on into the carrier & gears.
5) the axle is retained onto the hub and into differential housing with 10 studs and nuts, and sometimes some mighty tough sealant.
I found the end play set at 01. I used a magnetic base and dial capilper to determine this before I loosen it up. I also determined that by loosening the nut one flat the end play increases 10.The bearings are in good condition. Everything externally is DIRTY . I’m putting in a lot of time a effort to clean things up like new or better.
Here are somemore pics of disassembly and cleanup work I did today. -
Jon, Tom,
Do you know where you are going to be parked?

It is very difficult to buy a good fridge
The good ones stopped around 2004. There are only a few mfrs. Some make units under 4 or 5 different names and they are all the same junk. Samsung is bad and lg is worse. Frigidaire are also bad. Some rv owners throw away the samsung and buy ge. The whirlpool units seem to be slightly better. Whirlpool also makes jenn air maytag kitchen aid and a few others. What do Marathon and Liberty install in new units?

Flip the fan over ride switch in the second bay drivers side and unplug the watchdog, start the gen on the gen itself and does it start and stay running….could be several things..

Bill
Your toilet has 2 electric gears in it. Marathon does not recommend pumping air into your toilet but if you choose to do so open the gravity fill valve on your fresh water tank.
I would not advise you do that.

A Liberty never runs out of rose petals. In fact when a person becomes a Liberty owner even their farts have a very pleasant scent. It’s magic.

My 06 Royale drops to 4th immediately, so I often have to brake a bit to get some speed off before engaging Jake. Otherwise RPM might jump higher than I like. Maybe 5th would be better and manually downshift from there.

On a Marathon the continuous setting the fan will continue to run after reaching temperature.
On intermittent the fan will shut off after reaching temperature.

Be careful on doing that. I have the same H and have been talked out of doing that by some very knowledgeable people. You may not be happy with the results of doing it the cheap way (i.e. rattles, squeaks and leaks) although minor, can be a real irritant in a motor home. The correct way (also replacing the top cap) is very expensive. I would certainly talk to Donnie Meyer or Walter DeAndrea before doing this. Geo.

Jeff is like Allstate … you’re in good hands!
Having a Liberty, why are you running the generator on the road when traveling all time?

50 Ford, Hummer and Ram for towing, now you know where the dues money went.
-
I’ve been using the Roadmaster for around 9 years, towing a fairly heavy Ram crewcab 4×4, hemi.
No issues.

I used a higher annual production to come to my previous conclusion and now I am more convinced than ever their total production is less.
