MemberMarch 20, 2026 at 1:38 am in reply to: Front air system charging up fully in road mode question?Richard when you installed the new ride height valve did the front of the coach level out or has this been an issue even after you installed it? If it did not level out after installation there is an issue. Looking at the operation you have an air input line (air feed) and an output line (to the bag) to air up the bag. So if you reverse the lines it would dump air when it should be increasing air pressure to the bags. I think you may just have the leveling arm adjusted incorrectly. If the bags are maxing out its adjusted to high up. One way to check is to put the front wheels on some ramps so you can get under it without jacking and lower the arm on the valve all the way down and see if the ride height lowers. I made me some 2 x 12 ramps when I was adjusting my ride height.

I have a 93 Marathon XL….mine has a wood trim held by wood screws…you should be able to remove that wood trim and you should see how to remove the locking mechanism. Good Luck.

Hey Richard,
First I would look for a semi-truck detail shop they should be able to help you or direct you to a shop that can get the polishing done.

Hey Marc….I’m a Verizon 5G users with a peplink mobile router. It serves me fine with 150 Gb monthly.
-
Hey Ronald…..it shouldn’t be an issue as far as if the engine being strong enough.. The Hummer should be pretty close to the weight of a full size pickup or SUV.

Hey Eric….sorry to hear your dilemma, but if the shop broke the lug they should fix it don’t you think? Unless your not feeling their service quality, but that would be my first step. In any case though not seeing where the lug was broken makes it a little harder to answer your question. On the dual wheels you have the large nuts on the outer wheel and on the inner wheel there are square tip lugs….if the square lug is what’s broken it will depend on if you have enough lug to grab hold, so that could be a little difficult to do. But you will need a large lug extractor…they do sell kits. You can probably find one at a semi truck parts store…..not to sure about getting one from Amazon. Maybe Grainger or McMasters-Carr. I brought a semi wheel socket set with everything in it from Fleet Pride (except an extractor of course). Hope that helps.

Terry is correct on my XL you don’t need the pumps when connect to campground water. I have a tank fill button that operates a relay to open the fresh water tank for filling….but I don’t use my pumps when connected. I use bottle water for drinking…I’m not that comfortable with using my fridge water until I replace my old Amana Fridge next year.

Hey Art….that’s a tough question because some tech’s would say yes change it based on time. But if you don’t live in a cold climate where the temp in the winter goes below freezing….my opinion would be don’t worry right now…I mean its your preference in my opinion. But they do say change oil based on number of hours and length of time. I’m sure someone will chime in with more insight.

MemberMarch 9, 2026 at 1:23 am in reply to: Upgrading from AGM to LiFePO4 – Keeping it SimpleHey Jeff,
No I put that on hold last summer decided to remodel the salon and cockpit with new vinyl plank flooring. I’ve been pricing Vatrer and LiTime Lifepo4’s, but thinking about keeping my Xantrex inverter/chargers based on the location. I thought about Victron’s but I will need to totally reconfigure the bay because they are much larger….even the multiplex units. Also it will be a little more complex for Marathons because they wired the generator start batteries with the house battery setup. So I may need to purchase Lifepo4 start batteries as well…not 100% sure yet. I will be taking the house battery compartment apart this spring (pulling the drawer assembly) to get a better look at the wiring configuration. I will need to find a good location for the bus bars.

Hey Ronald sorry for the delay on the reply…..I use the Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain tow bar…its rated at 8000lbs. which would work for your Hummer’s weight capacity, but as Mike mentioned you would want a setup that would match your vehicle weight.

Hey Art….sorry for the delay in responding. I kinda forgot about the pictures but I did take a few…posted. It was a fairly straight forth process.
