Good idea. Reminds me of this trip to Oysterfest. Getting ready to pull out I notice Natalie has a glass of champagne, whereupon it dawned on me that I was driving the entire way…

Chuck, can you explain what ‘reel’ is compared to ‘shore’? I connect my shore cord to our 30 amp connection in my storage garage in California. I have to set the inverters to 30 amp on the Crestron.

I don’t know what you mean connect to ‘reel’.

    Hi Dorel,

…Stop for a night or two at Wakeda Campground in Hampton Falls (294 Exeter Rd, Hampton Falls, NH 03844).

This is a very nice campground nestled inside a pine forest. We do have a seasonal site there for this summer.

FHU with 50 amps. A few pull-throughs. Mostly back-ins. This is the best place w have found in Northern MA, all of Southern NH and Southern ME.

PM me if you want more info!

    Cheers,

    Ronald

(and greetings from Pelican Lake, where we are staying at the moment until May 8)

Jon, we can do almost anything you want, however depending on the year and converter depends on how much of that information we already have that we are reading and how much of that we have to add components to give us those readings or values. Would you like your smart phone to ring or receive a text when certain values are in the “red”, no problem….inside tempature, gen running, what ever you wish…all must then translate to a value you place on that information and how much you are willing to pay for that….The newer the coach then typically the more of that information we already have access to and therefore the less we have to retrofit..

The remotes are on your electrical panel in the bus and being a Liberty, probably in the galley.

    May look like this..

Know what you mean Joe. Changed just the flapper gasket in the coach 2 weeks ago and went checked before dark. Still holding water. 12 buck fix for me and in the coach. Sorry to hear about you having to pull it and bench fix it.

The waiving of dues for Michael was conditional.

He had to agree to quit picking on Liberty conversions. He messed up a little but we’ve overlooked that small lapse.

He was supposed to send Tom and I a small token of his appreciation. Something like a Rolex would be fine.

Maybe when he gets back on his meds he will address his issues, but like Tom said, he is on PC probation.

On a side note, I’m just curious, is there anyone on PC that has had the same coach longer than Michael? He is still driving the same coach he bought new 16, 17 or 18 years ago. He is a true Prevost veteran.

I agree the barrell sounds like it was home to your shore cord reel at some point. Does this mean you are getting no water from the water pumps? Water in the tank and none in the stainer would mean blockage in tank or a shut off hidden.

    Faulhaber Minimotor Switzerland. Part #2338S024S

    Now, sit down.

Buying this motor from Prevost will set you back about $9000

You can order the motor from the US division of Faulhaber located in Clearwater, FL. But, it will still set you back about $600 and the lead time is 10-12 weeks!

At some time during the past 10 years, Prevost may have switched to a different vendor which makes the same style motor. It is yet another Swiss company.

I contacted them and they turned me away because the motor SKU is a buyer proprietary number, i.e. Prevost, so they would not talk to me.

You have a couple of choices. Live with it. Pay the price or try finding a different source for the motor. Finding the motor is actually not that difficult. The problem you will run into is the gearing.

    Cheers,

    Ronald

I have seen transmission oil coolers fail in boats and cars (Ferrari 360/430). In those cases the leak is typically internal. The transmission fluid leaks into the coolant/raw water since it is under high pressure while operating. Once you shut the engine down, the process reverses and coolant leaks into the transmission oil since coolant remains under pressure for a while. The transmissions can be saved if caught early by flushing with fresh oil several times.

I think lack of coolant maintenance can be an issue causing corrosion in the cooler. Regular coolant changes and keeping up the additive package are important for the S60 cylinder liners anyway. Regular checks help too. If your transmission oil level suddenly is high or if the oil appears milky you probably have a coolant leak. Also, check the top of your coolant reservoir for oil scum.

Now excuse me while I check the transmission fluid and coolant reservoir….

    Gerald
